the essence of buying low and selling as opposed to buying high and selling low is the framed upon waiting for price to reach a lower level when wanting to buy thus using a pending order and waiting for price to reach a higher level when wanting to sell still using a pending order

Soo. Here I am at the end of my round of 400 trades. 511 to be exact.

This is a time to to realign, fix or reconfigure my trading plan if I want to. Based on my results.

Now above all else I want to recognize my progress and congratulate myself on reaching this point because I am at a different point than I was last year or the year before last with reagard to my trading and other life aspects that not the subject matter of this entry.

FOCUS ON TRADING

The fact is that my equity curve has changes dramatically even though it is not where I want it to have been by now. It is really better.

I was suprised yesterday when i learned that a negative sharpe ratio (-0.48) means that I would be better off having invested in treasury bills.

All considered

The changes that I have to make is
1) working on a better and higher risk to reward ratio in order to take advantage of my current win rate.

2) To work on letting winning trades run for longer

There is nothing that needs my urgent attention outside of these two objectives at this moment in trading.

Halted on trading to focus on my exams.

This is good because I am preserving capital, not forcing myself to see the market and admitting that I am not in the zone to trade profitably at this moment because my mind and priorities have drifted to another area of interest leaving an insufficient amount of mental energy to trade. Therefore I'll come back when conditions allow after my exams, God willing, if I'll still be alive to make my dreams come true of being a consistently profitable trader come true

I just got contacted by an old acquaintance; a guy that I generally respect. First thing he asked me whether I am still trading. I said yes. And he took a piss.

At that moment I realised that I have never asserted myself to him. And I told him that he always said the same nonsense from when I first begun trading.

He nevertheless continued to say that forex has no future and I know it. I proceeded to tell him that, respectfully, he doesn't see what I see, in the most literal sense to the most figuritive sense.

He then went on to say that I know what I talking about. I realised at this point that to attempt to convince him will be a waste of my energy; I told him that I'll talk to him later I want to do something. Dropping the call I heard him asking what am I going to do, Am I going to put in a trade?

These are the type people I don't in my life. I deleted his phone number.

That time he once said that He made thirty thousand trading. People that don't like me, just don't like me and it's okay to dislike them back. And they should know it because they want me to know it. It's nice when these people know that I can live without them.

I don't like people who think they know me.

The fact of the matter is that I can't be objectively cognizant of everything because of my limitation of being a human or rather a dying creature.

Because of this, I am exposed to a weakness that threatens the attainment of much that I desire. A safe guard is something that is a bit foreign to me in some areas: Humility

Okay. Now what exactly constitutes humility? My understanding now gives me that this is a learned ability of learning how to learn.

Hmmm. It has been a month and week (29th of August) since I last made a trade and the reason is that i haven't gotten a signal from my strategy.

Looking at this, my strategy is a range or consolidation strategy.
