TIME FRAMES

I use different TFs and everyone of them is useful and important in relation to the way I trade
One can easily be confused and mislead by all sorts of things offered by different trading platforms
While trading DOW, it is important to be aware that DOW Cash is also in relation to the underlying and foundational reality that its constituents are traded during the NYSE active session. That means that DOW Cash continuous chart displays very different kind of the relationship between the display outside on the NYSE session compared to the PA during the NYSE session. Some charting display only PA during the NYSE session, which is useful in clearly displaying gaps ect, while the continuous chart of DOW Cash displays the PA influenced by other factors, both perspectives are important.

DOW Cash - for that reason/s I use every TF in relation to the Daily TF where different things are marked. including the important NYSE session Candle bar.
M30 and shorter TFs are therefore correlated to the NYSE active session in a different way than all TFs above M30, the simple reason is that NYSE session starts at 9.30am EST, (2.30pm GMT)
M30 and every shorter TF has the shaded NYSE session Candle bar, other TFs due to the opening of NYSE session do not have that same precession.
On the top of that the bucket shops have slightly different pricing patterns in relation to the DOW tick, arbitration is never in the traders interest.

Renko, like P&F, range or tick bar charts or other similar arrangements react to PA irrespective of time, just the amount points DOW has moved, For simplicity I have been using renko, but have tried others too.
Different TF and different arrangements demand a fast and comfortable way to see the chosen info in details, for that reason I use multiple charts displayed all the time on multiple monitors, using differed computers at that same time. That works for me, i like to see things at a glance and do not need to switch between different TFs, or different things I observe, especially during the Active NYSE session, always having DOW tick chart with continued streaming info displayed.
That same goes for intermarket analysis and a percentage values displayed on the top of numerical displayed.

All details are important and there is no perfect solution and there is no perfect trader.
It is important to do our best using less than perfect tools.

Done for a while, traded long from US open towards the gap close.
Very choppy conflicting signals, no clear way up and atm I do not feel like shorting, so having a break
DOW out of sync with S&P ad NASDAQ, so do not wish to play Russian roulette

After that a rotation to the long side towards the D pivot

Particular care to be taken when the boxes appear, often in conjunction with other things like D Pivots with mid points, stochastics Last session close ect

The session has been very choppy, Gap, Pivots and ADR gave some reasonable guidance, over all it has been rather a difficult session for me, I had some breaks desiring not to trade. Came out with profits, but tiering session.

Very choppy session so far
gone short towards the last session close, got out with profit, but it was very fast, too fast for my liking, that gone long before the data release, in line with VIX and towards the upper band of the EMA Fib bands on M1
These trades were profitable, but these moves have been very fast

I do not wish to be on short TFs in that type of market conditions
