Thank's for elaborating, altough I don't see by what mean you transcribed my nickname to " 6+3+3+3+3+1"... But coincidently they sum up to the day I was born, nice lol

Anyway, what's wrong with phds and degrees? When they try to tackle the problem they may automatically resort to what they studied, and sure it might not be the right context to apply those things here, and sure you might laugh at their "competence used without competence". But the point is that the way people with degree and phds thinks is proven efficient and effective on a wide area of topics, without these people we wouldn't even be able to exchange ideas on this forum.

And most importantly, AntiCre and W0lfram, along with many other quantitatevely inclined people, share everything with kindness and also they elaborate for those who don't follow. And this is also a common pattern with the scientific community in general, where you are encouraged to ask questions.

I don't understand this behaviour of yours, and others as well... Just because someone thinks differently it does not mean it has to be mocked without reason. What if there is no right way of thinking, what if we could take the best of both words by taking what works and discarding what doesn't? Why you have to create such a division between "those with degrees" and "those who knows" like CP or others? You'd be surprised about how many people who were successful in trading, way more than CP, using 0 "vodoo" but only things learned at university.

The markets are more predictable than this thread states. I've found several reliable patterns, so many that I don't even know what to do with them all. Here's another one I spotted earlier today. And before anyone says it's cherry picked, I'm including two upcoming examples on different timeframes and pairs. There were more than just these two, but I'm not going to spend too much time preparing screenshots since there’s no incentive to share beyond simply sharing. This pattern shows an inverted hammer (or something similar) after a downtrend, followed by a bullish reversal.

Sorry to ask, but did you started trading less than 3-6 months ago? It does not work like that.

I researched candlestick patterns about a year ago.

Logic: after a 'bullish' pattern prints -- open a long position, wait n candles for price excursion, record Max/Min from close of a pattern_candle.
Hourly data GU. 200 candles into the future. 496 Hammers.
Left - maximum profit
Right - max DD.
I have also tried location of these patterns. Same picture.

They all are symmetric/mirrored/equivalent. Which word describes it best?
And no better than going long/short after any random green/red candle.


Since Cable in a multi-year down trend, so called bearish patterns may show better stats. Opposite is true for NQ, SPX, DJI...
