Afternoon all, happy Friday .

Much as it pains, agreed with johncen, need to wait till NFP .

With 1h bias short, I was chomping at the bit to take a short following retracement back up to the 1h balanced price range. 5PiP SL; Partial [2.77:1] at the 5m imbalance median; TP [12.72:1RR] at new day opening gap. Common sense got the better of me for once ...

Excluding what happens with NFP, I wouldn't be surprised to see a 30% weekly retracement to c.1.07150.

Have to say nfp comes out not as bad as i would expect to see despite unemployment rate up by 0.1%!

Difficult situation now for USD. Numbers were as expected but psychologically they were a bit below expectations which fuels eur/usd more upward potential which (new highs) is very unstable. We'Ve seen another high and all i can do now is to wait for correction to sell my shorts in the 1.07's (my avg. avg. 1.0862 currently).
From my experience i should sell and wait but it is very extraordinary this time due to trump. They really want to harm him so they spend/burn a lot of money on the markets. Not sure how long this still goes on but it is very unhealthy new highs.

I never would dare to go long now.

You are right! From weekly retracement we are at between 61.% - 70.5% zone anything can happen for downward movement

Maybe a drop but I am out from shorts after I bought at payrolls . Will wait cause I am not so convinced with the bears! I will search for an entry lower maybe.

This week’s news has been a whirlwind, updates on a European and German defense fund, talk of tariffs, a potential truce between Russia and Ukraine, plus other headlines like the US Non-Farm Payroll data, pushed EUR/USD to trade in a wild 500 pip range, nearly hitting 1.0900.

The bullish trend could persist above or toward the 1.0900 level, though a pullback might come first before buyers regroup and drive the pair higher.

For now, I’m signing off for Friday and will check back in on Monday to see what unfolds. Here’s hoping for some two-sided action next week - not just a one-way ride, so everyone gets a chance to profit!

The EURUSD is in a strong uptrend after breaking above 1.0629 this week. The uptrend continued, creating higher lows and higher highs until Friday's high of 1.0888. Before the close, it consolidated above the 1.0800 round number and the 1.0765 support level.

Next week, I expect the uptrend to continue toward 1.0900-1.0936/43 as long as the mentioned support remains intact. However, if the pair breaks lower, then 1.0700-1.0695 should be the next targets for sellers.

The EURUSD advanced higher to 1.0871 after the opening but later faded the move and dropped to 1.0830. There aren’t many events on the calendar today, so I expect range trading between 1.0800 and 1.0888. In any case, if volatility returns for some reason, the next support and resistance levels are located above at 1.0900–1.0936/43 and below at 1.0765.

Not sure when will happen but 0.236 fibo of the 1.0360 to 1.0888 upward move is confluent with 1.0765 higher low support - that's a good place for the bulls and bears to have a fight and see who wins if a new high is not created.

indeed, not sure if 0900 or 076x will come first but 076x is certainly critical!

but for now bear needs to take down 0820
