Can someone tell me how to get the rest of the functions back onto the second from top line on this platform?

You're missing a toolbar?

Right click anywhere on any existing toolbar and re-select the missing toolbar. Drag toolbar wherever you want it.

Hi skenobi. If you look at my chart, directly under "File" you will see the section where I can select bar, candlestick or line charts. It is all the options that are normally in front of that, that are missing. If I right click on the section that is there I come up with
Standard
Charts
Line studies
Periods
which are all ticked.

Sounds like you might have accidentally dragged the toolbar off to the edge of your screen. You SHOULD be able to see a tiny bit of the toolbar's edge on one of the sides.

If you're still not able to see the edge, just re-start MT4. This worked for me just now.

click on customize, incert the missing options from the popup window.

Sorry guys, neither idea works. Things have been this way for about a week now so switch off and on doesn't do anything. And when I go to "Customize" my only options are the ones that are already visible. There's no "New Chart", "Profiles" etc.

I'm using MT4 on Windows 7 with the "/portable" option set. When I drag one toolbar and make it completely disappear off my screen, I just restarted MT4 (with the "/portable" option), and somehow the missing toolbar came back. In a different place but still back.

Hopefully that works for you. Otherwise, you should just back up your MT4 directories and just re-install MT4. Shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes to get set up again.

Just pressed the wrong button. I hadn't finished talking. What I am trying to do is to get it back to the way it used to look which is the same as this one.

Select View, then Toolbars and tick "Standard" by left clicking.

Do you know may be how to make toolbar from 2 rows to 1 row only ??

Let's say for TimeFrame. There are 2 rows, from M1 to MN1 (M1-D1 at 1st row, W1-MN1 at 2nd row). I click at Customize & UNcheck auto arrange, then i remove some Timeframes.
It is always becomes 2 rows.
I want to save place (rows), so i can see candle stick charts better.

Even if i Uncheck other toolbars like "standard, line studies, charts" , just show TimeFrame toolbar. And i remove all TimeFrame except M1. It is only 1 row ...
But, as i add M5 TimeFrame, it becomes 2 rows again ...
How to solve this ???

You can drag all the toolbars to the top row using the little handles on each one.

You could try reading the USER GUIDE

Do you use Windows?

Drag & Drop has been in place since 1992

You can put the Toolbars anywhere; I have them on the bottom because several screens are high.

If you still can't get it, I will read the USER GUIDE for you.

You can eliminate the second row by removing toolbars from it onto the first row. Of course you need to have space on the first row to do it.

If you have too many tools in the toolbar, you can customise it by removing tools that you don't need or use, as you have done with timeframes that you don't use. You can drag each toolbar into the first row, in any order as you prefer and it should stay the same each time you open MT4.

Once the second row is empty of toolbars it should disappear, leaving only the first row.

Maybe if you show a screenshot of your problem, it might help.

I tried it several Times , but it still the same. The rectangle is not changed, always in 2 rows ...

I am not using windows, but Linux + wine emulator ...

Please see image below...
i am not using windows, tried several time to delete icons, left only 1 icon ... and see that it is in 1 row. . But as i add another icon, it becomes 2 rows again ...
Example:
I left only M1 icon. As i add M5 icon, the M5 icon is not added to the right of M1 icon, but it is automatically appear below M1 icon ...

I do not understand this. I tried as "pah" said , but i just can shift the whole TimeFrame icons, and the icons position is not changed ...
Any idea is welcome.
