M1 Countertrend Scalping Strategy

Are you really the retired old man you claim to be because you reply like you're fifteen years old. I find it funny how you often ignore the posts of newbies and only suck up to those who appear profitable.

In my eyes you havent learned how to trade, you have only learned to read your numerous indicators. And thats fine if they're profitable for you, theres many ways to skin a cat. Although I dont think you have what it takes to trade purely off of ema's as its outlined in the first page of this thread.

As part of my learning I look back through the posts of this thread and study the screenshots trying to understand what the user is doing. I get nothing from your posts, its just the same indicators, same arrows pointing at the pip counter and profit (if its real).

I myself wont say that I've learned to trade. Although I have recently broken even in my account (as I posted the screenshot) and continue to be profitable I feel I have a lot of room for improvement still. Its why im here. There is so much good information in the first 1/3 of this thread however the last 1/3 is just polluted with your profit posing posts.

You dont even try to change the way you type lol. Exact same format as your last reply to me.

Still here Gringo? No shame eh? I've been looking through your old tease me thread, wow lol.

Here's a couple grabs of this mornings action showing how little I've learned so far about trading. Sorry for the rough trade history arrows, trading view doesnt do them automatically for me so I have to draw them myself. Market seems a bit sedate so far today which has been a nice start for Monday. I've to focus on work for the rest of the day so this will likely be my lot. If you're looking at the grabs thinking I've missed a heap of opportunities thats because Im not always at the screen!





Small bites with a focus on improving my counter-counter trend trading. Ive developed a habit where if Im at the point where I would start countering but it appears if price could keep going. I open two opposing and equal sized orders, riding one to profit then countering the second. Not ideal but it does take the emotional weight off as ultimately if things move in a direction I'm not comfortable with I can close both orders whenever with minimal loss.

What does this show? What is the point? Oh theres that arrow again.

Wow RESULTS. They're such a great learning tool. I have learned so much. Glad you put that arrow there cause I would of never seen that great result.

I'm trying something different for the scanner. For a better filtering entry, I will use a QQE mtf (https://www.forexfactory.com/thread/...into-histogram) based on 5 minutes.
I remove the ZZ filter.

Not the good one...too laggy.

Is this all you're working with? Pure PA? Throw some EMA's on there and feel it out.

Another slow but good morning for me. Going to round things out and call it a day. Im sitting expecting a sudden inrush of volume and price to take off in either direction but so far nothing. Price is hanging about the 200 which is making for some sedate counter-counter trend practice. Its tempting to up the lot size but I'll stick to where I'm at so if a trend does kick off I've plenty margin to dig myself out.

The trend appeared! I reverted back to my old ways and just countered but I'll go over the trend a few times tonight to see where I should I went with trend. Used up a little more margin that I would of liked, a few too many entries early on into the trend didn't help. Double top always a good sign of the trend tiring. Decided to bail BE + a small profit to both get the margin back and as it was late in the day for me.

More practice required!

excellent tip gringo…. I have seen you use those numbers a lot in your screenshots (the zigzagm indicator). At first I didn’t know what the numbers were there for until you explained. They are quite effective if you include them a strategy. However 2 questions about the indicator. You mentioned you can enter a position using the numbers… do you mean only take a position when they have settled and closed on a candle?.. because otherwise they can keep repainting and moving up or down. Also you mention you can use them for entry and also for exiting a trade. Am I right in saying if you’ve entered a trade already and the numbers have suddenly popped up again do you exit the trade as soon as the numbers appear or wait until the numbers have stopped moving and settled on a closed candle before you exit. Thanks in advance.

I was wondering the same thing because sometimes the zigzagm number appears and the trade is still in drawdown or losing. Do you still close the trade when the zigzagm number appears at a loss.
