DislikedJustin,
when the I'm trading, like for example today on GBPJPY, and all of a sudden it jumps from 10 pips to a profit of 68 pips but doesn't show on my charting software, would I get filled if I closed it then? The 68 pips hung around for many numbers of seconds... it didn't just flash for an instant.
I am just curious.Ignored

Did you happen to notice if the level 2 was reflecting the same quote as the FXBoard? If the bid / offer in the level two should the pricing to be accurate and reflect your position you most likely would have no problem closing and executing at that price.Ignored
DislikedI too have been really interested in checking out the Omega, but due to an extended workday, I did not get a chance to attend it.
However, after reading there weren't even any screen shots, this makes me feel better about not wasting my time.
I don't understand how you can pitch a product nobody can see. Obviously they weren't prepared for the webinar. If we wanted a history lesson on ECN's, then you can read about it on the net.
Also after demoing the Navigator, and watching commissions, I just don't see any major difference in the spread when you get down to it. (Although in all fairness, it does depend on the pair. For example, if I were trading AUD/JPY, it's great.) Seeing as spread is similar in a lot of pairs to what I pay now, I see it as a wash.
Since I don't trade AUD/JPY, I am afraid I will have to keep looking for my next broker.
However, I would suggest letting this alleged "Omega" be released for a year before putting any real money on the line.
Let's face it - even Microsoft can't release a bug-free version of Windows, and they pretty much invented to OS for PC!
There are plenty of angry people that paid 1,800 USD for the first PS3's, XBox 360's, etc.....(can we say faulty batteries? not exactly new technology there kids.)
It just seems to be how technology works....or doesn't.Ignored
DislikedActually, there was plenty of discussion of Omega, if you'd been there. And I do believe that they are taking their time to properly test.Ignored
DislikedRegarding this issue of people getting “logged off by someone else,” it isn’t really happening as described here on the boards. We have verified that essentially people are getting “dropped” or “booted” off of the system randomly due to one of the many internet backbones we use having outages. When the backbone bounces we send disconnect messages, but the wrong message was being sent.Ignored

DislikedTheres been a ton of discussion about this Omega, just that nobody has seen it from what I understand. If I am wrong, then so be it...but just reading what is posted here.Ignored

DislikedOh Justin, now how about my question regarding the "now-you-see-it, now-you-don't" candlestick spike (a few posts back), lol?
Do you know what the story is with that?
Thanks for whatever answer you can give . It was just a little disturbing to see the candlesticks change like that, especially because some of us read candlesticks in our trading systems/strategies.Ignored
DislikedThey said it was a connection problem and that technical support could ping my machine to help isolate the problem. I have yet to take them up on this as I figure I will try connecting on a different machine at a different location first. Funny, I find this always happens near the close of the daily candle,Ignored
