I'm around 200 pips up too, wondering if we can break new lows, looking at the daily tf 1.02 looks like a good target for today. Tariffs are due to come into effect on Feb 4th. Still unsure if I should take some profits as I don't know how Asia markets will react to the big drop. May close short and reopen just before London open

i am new into forex, i assume trumps tarrifs will impact eur/usd but in my research i have seen some places say it will strenghten the usd but weaken trade and others say it will weaken the usd, anyone got a noobie explanation for me?

A gap occurred in the EURUSD pair and other USD pairs, the US dollar seemed to strengthen amid the spotlight on Trump's tariff policies on Canada and Mexico. It often happens that when a gap occurs, the price will gradually recover the gap.

H4 Outlook Update

  1. For now, especially while below 1.0256-ish area, I am not touching the buy button... Only strong sell!
  2. IF candles can close above 1.0256 though, then we can begin to talk about gap close... not before!
  3. I will continue to update this once we have progress... waiting for London opening...
