i find that the candles count depend on the time frames you look at, although it was supposed to be for daily.
after 9 - 13 successful count of candles in one direction and according to certain rules and whether it reach the support resistant or not, it can be determined whether it is a trend or a pullback.

on the 3rd down candle in a h4 oanda time frame.

I find the counting a bit complicated for the COUNTDOWN phase. However, I guess the PRICE FLIP and the SETUP phase can be incorporated into the EG/EF methodology. I need to do some backtesting over the weekend though.
