I just closed manually. 2 min before close. was great day. I do have a little sour taste because Nasdaq went up another 200 points after creating a new lower low for the day within 30 min haha an hour before close. could have closed 300+ plus but ended with 150 points secured. that's what matters anyways. always greatful for a win. how was your day fadhl. I haven't chatted with another trader in a while tbh. any advice when it comes to emotion. any tips?

Good day!
Key US inflation came out red; almost an undershoot. This is very good for US equities.
The low of this month is locked and price should move up towards 21867 and even 22133. This movement will have a hand from next week with Trump officially in the office. Earnings season will be the decision-maker for the next move.
My plan is to buy.

End of day analysis!
Clearly the undershoot inflation data was a very good news for equities and NQ. Price will continue up towards 21867 and may be 22133.

The daily close was bullish with a clear breakout. A continuation up is the least resistance.

@fadhl please chime in.

Per the economic news this morning the Unemployment came in higher, in my view this supports rate cuts scenario. But retail sales came lower. I am not sure which news takes precedence here.

Also sharing a descending channel I have been watch on NQ, daily level. Per the "blue circle" market overnight touched the top of the channel. If the unemployment data supports rate cuts narrative, then we should start to see an attempt to break out/above this channel until the presidential inauguration. And a move higher to the ATHs per Fadhl's chart.

First of all, not all data have the same weight and at all the time. In certain time a specific data becomes very relevant and the same data in other circumstances becomes irrelevant. For instances, few weeks ago, Inflation data was somewhat irrelevant as markets had confidence that inflation was down, but since Trump won the election and started speaking about tariffs and inflation data showed higher measures, markets started paying attention to it as this inflation will become a monster again if Trump really imposes his tariffs. The fact that this week data came undershoot gave a relief to the markets perception and expectations.
Secondly, the rate cut was completely removed from the radar since last FED as the economy is strong in US and Trump noise came into effect. So no need for any data, at least for now, to bring back the rate cut. This is ended. Markets has started to think about the possibility of rate increase late in 2025!!!
So nothing really is sustainable... things move and change depending on the context.
Regarding the equities, Trump is surrounded with Billionaires' who have interest that stocks continue up. So deregulation and free money will be in the agenda which it will boost up the stocks, hence the equities. But this is only a honey moon. So as soon as it ends, a crash will happen. When? No idea how long this honey moon will last.
