if there is only historical early entry TC, i prefer my CE to be EF which means there is a break of structure.

Hi ITB, just a question. Can you use 4h as confirmation entry? For example, weekly for direction bias, daily trade control and 4 hour confirmation? If us do you have any example trades like this? Thanks again for your time to reply as always!

I believe gold will be in the low 3000's this year.

yes you can.
h4 entry is for swing trades.
they happen not often, about 20 -30% of the time, maybe once a week.
they can have big stop loss.
if you find the SL too big, then use h1 to precise the trade further to minimise SL as per egsolutionfx video had shown.

congrats fxpider; over the weekend i was wondering how to deal with these situations. This friday price was in a bearish daily/h4 EG, so most likely trend is bearish. To confirm the trend we need an bear m30 EG that got retested. Earlier there was an historical m30 fisrt entry zone without an CMP Ltfr EF entry like ITB pointed out, so the m5 EG in the fez m30 was a risky entry without real ltfr confirmation. The bear m30 EG was formed by the close of that big bearish 08.00/08.30 candle. Once we have this m30 EG we can put an alert at the lowest range of that EG zone so we dont need to stay on the screen waiting for the retest. Three hours later (!) there was the retest, the 11.00/11.30 candle wicked into the zone, the next 11.30/12.00 closed into the zone. Now we can consider this zone as beeing respected and we need to focus on the CMP Ltfr CE, which we got in the break of the m5 EF and pullback to m5 EG. Between the retest on the m30 TC and the m5 CE was another 2 hours. So between the TC and the CE there was about 5 hours. I know myself, i loose my concentration after 1 - 2 hours, so i was wondering if it can be done by placing an alert in the m30 EG zone, once this alert gets triggered stay focus for the CMP CE? Any comments pls, thx.

IMO, Placing an alert is always good regardless of whether you are staring at the monitor or not. However, most TC/retest/CE generally happen during the session's open or around, and this TIME FACTOR brings the volume which is a critical factor for a quality trade. I do the following.

1. Identify the zone during analysis and place an alert
2. Be available during the preferred Session OPEN and be alert.
