Very long term chart but we have broken below a major trendline. Any hopes of back to previous highs are remote but who knows. Having said that I am looking for reversal from the current downtrend soon. First target is 1.0528 and then 1..076.

Meanwhile, on H1...

  1. Bears could not protect 1.0262 (latest breakout area) and now bulls are going for an attack towards the dotted trendline: roughly ~1.0310 area!
  2. I am on sidelines for now! Waiting to see how willing and motivated these bulls are. No rush!

My Quick Monthly View

  1. I am anticipating supportive pa on monthly inside a zone between 1.0122 and 1.0288...
  2. If this plays out, price could later slowly rise to form a Gartley, all the way up around 1.1865..
  3. But no rush! Just an idea... Since this is the monthly, it could take months and even years to complete!

Often the news is just an excuse to accelerate in the direction in which the market has already decided to go for completely different reasons. I have seen very negative red data many times for the euro which pushed the euro upwards... even yesterday's data if I remember correctly the market went in the totally opposite direction to what it should have done based on the values. Therefore the news is only an accelerator but hardly gives direction.

Sure looks like a couple of attempts to run the price up but not much interest above 1.03. ISM in a few minutes may solidify direction. I'm marking resistance in that 1.03 range.

If ISM is weak and we break above 1.0303 I'm going long and try to scrape a few pips before the weekend.
