Nobody knows what the future will bring but it never hurts to protect yourself with trailing Sl.

In a real trading I would of been going to BE or exiting already - do not like this PA(2nd chart)

Guys I've spent a bit more than a week to learn how to use bb squeeze(from rockypoint's thread initially) because I saw potential in this strategy. Today, even with stupid mistakes I've made 9RRR with this strategy on us30 and us500, I am not greedy and don't have balls to hold the trade as RickM does, So when I enter, my additional criteria is setting up tp to 5R. Thanks, RickM for sharing your wisdom, still have lots of questions, but will ask after holidays.

Here is my first shot for a Squeeze indicator. I am normally a robot programmer so this is out of my comfort zone and it takes time. So today you get an indicator that fills the areas where Keltner lies outside the Bollinger Bands.

Don't put the Bollinger and Keltner indicators on your chart, MY indicator prints the Bollinger Bands and the Keltner Channel.

You can change nessesary parameters as well as colors to your likings.

With this indicator you can have - say 4 different charts on your screen and get notified when there is a setup on one of them.

Tomorrow I will add the alarm function - it is not in there yet. The MTF function will come later.

+1R on Gold

Did not enter on two red bars, instead entered on decreasing bullish momentum and on the 5th black dot, after a medium squeeze in the overall direction of the major trend after a small pullback. Not A+ but worked.

Can probably hold and move SL. Squeeze ending and bearish momentum kicking in.

Observing - Highly Compressed and Bullish Momentum is decreasing in a bearish market, with a bounce off my EMA anchor.

Also to note is the length of the squeeze

Do we enter on red momentum bars or black dots, not even the slowest of all green dots... hmm

This would surely dictate your position sizing?

RR stays the same in every setup? Things I'm pondering.

I agree, just came back from Cabo San Lucas, paid off 4 nights 5 Stars exclusive resort with 2 days trading, while sipping Anejo tequilas.

Wife was not excited about me trading a bit, but then was very happy with results O well, you know how the saying go's and I coined it .."I can live without trading, but why?"

This is the biggest question mark, which colour dot to trade from?.
After a few years trading with this strategy (one of a few I trade), I found the best risk reward results come from focusing on price leaving the 21 EMA with momentum on a trending market.

I believe we should follow the PA signals more than which colour dot it’s presently at.

This enables me to have a very very tight stop / it either works immediately or I am out for a small loss. If you trade with dots, the loss can be far larger

Why does the Squeeze setup work?

John Carter talks about pressure being trapped inside a Squeeze with will soon act like a spring, exploding price outwards on release.
But he is wrong here on this basic explanation.

What happens is during a Squeeze period, limit orders are placed either side of compression area in high numbers by impatient traders. Generally it’s 2 to 1 selling limit orders on a bullish trend.
Therefore the Squeeze breakout is just a liquidity run towards high imbalance of bids and asks.

A bullish trend is therefore the destruction of Sellers Equity. When we add stops, we get a trend continuation of this move called stop runs which is free money if we can stay in for a period.
