Of course, successful prop firms, whether in forex or futures, can be tracked through their financial reports, showing large Net Income per year or per month — just like traders. However, Finance Magnates still reports Revenue here, which is a far cry. If we had annual financial report data, it would be very beneficial. Yeah, when you do it, it is your skill, experience, blood & sweat, hard earned money.
But when some other do, it is because of lottery.

Today or Tomorrow I am planning to buy the bigger one 100k account with fundingpips, I have to take this risk specifically.
To work with fundingpips lot of patience required as to become a funded trader it can take 4 days process minimum after passing challenge phases.
I am planning to buy 100k for 209 $ ctrader without any discount their Funding Pips X challenge BUT with Activation Fees exemption.

Currently I have like 10k, 25k, 15k, 5k, 7k, 6k type accounts with different props.
I don't think those props will make problem to request 250 $ to 1,000 $ payout per account during the life of that account!

100k is going to be bigger one.
Only thing I worry is 20 trading days maximum to pass each phase!!
Once I pass then I will have all the freedom & will definitely secure some 5k payout from this 100k futures like forex trading challenge.

Also, I believe in myself that in next 30 trading days I will be able to make some 500 $ payout at least from current challenges as I am about to get funded in a couple of these, so as per my current trading approach & financial situation it is in my budget to take this risk.

If it goes right this will give me the boost I needed. If I failed this 100k challenge of course I will be little sad that I took risk but not get rewarded.

In that case, with some payout I receive I will buy 5%ers 100k challenge with unlimited time period for 500 $ & that I will definitely pass no matter what no matter how many losing trades I met, I will definitely pass that.

I am confident with my trading approach & I am going to click buy button today or tonorrow
on 100k Funding Pips X Challenge without Activation Fees for 209 $ cTrader Account!!
Its like Futures type account but in Forex world.

The E8 market and Blueberry Market has a cheap offer of $113 for 25K, 1-Step, with the option to use MT5 and MT4. In a forex challenge, these are the things to avoid:

  1. Expensive challenge offers.
  2. Only static challenges, avoid any trailing drawdown.
  3. Only 1-step challenges; avoid 2-step and 3-step challenges.
  4. The target profit is generally between 8-10% with a max drawdown of 6%; avoid challenges with targets higher than this.
  5. Avoid challenges that are not unlimited or those that last less than 30 days.
  6. Avoid prop firms that lack information, especially those on platforms like X or Discord.
  7. If one challenge hasn't been passed yet, why have multiple accounts?

since target/drawdown is same for step 2/3 , we can assume that the pass rate is 16.5% X 0.165 X 0.165 = 0.44% to reach funded status

Yes - and if half of those reach a payout, that would be fairly close to FTMO’s expectation of 0.2% (1 in 500) reaching a payout.

Sounds about right?

Way lower than for futures ones, obviously (but the futures ones attract, overall, customers with rather better trading skills, surely?).

Don't quite get your table. Why's there a profit ratio? Thought you'll only get a funded account as the reward for hitting your target and profit sharing only happens after you get a funded account?

Well, not sure about better trading skills but I trade both and I find I'm doing better in futures for some reason. Really need some analysis but I'm too lazy to figure it out at the moment.

futures traders in general have a higher basic knowledge than CFD traders. The way the platforms and execution works means there is a learning curve that is undesirable to people who dont have a clue. CFD's are built for people without a clue because you hit buy or sell and thats it, no depth, no understanding of market gaps and other variables. Its why still, after all these years, people still complain about news slippage on cfd's. They simply think that there is unlimited depth and an amazing ability to just hit buy or sell. In low liquidity events, futures are far more punishing, but during normal markets they can be great to trade if you know what you are doing. I traded futures during the GFC, it was far more punishing than spot at the time.

me too i am doing 100 times better because of the rules in futures world and analysis i mean instruments move in a direction without making anyone fake movements candles like forex when there is momentum. I mean there are many moments of momentum in a day not just the news time for futures...

The con is that ticktick has the worst dashboard I've seen so far. Tradeify's no beauty, but compared to ticktick, it's like a 20-year old beauty vs an old crone. I still can't find my trading history on ticktick, but they are paying out.

Can anyone explain to me why there is such a huge difference in price to drawdown ratio between the futures and Forex props?
Funded Elite FOREX 50K account is $295 for 2-step, AlphaCapital is $297, Funding Pips $266
FuturesElite 50K 2-step account is only $80/month (normal price)

I would rather trade FOREX than futures but being a US citizen our choices are very narrow.
The Forex props don't seem to do the monthly plans, maybe that's part of it.

You can get the trading history from tradovate directly, just not on their dashboard.

Futures prop firms usually have a smaller trailing drawdown vs a larger static one for forex. The 50k in futures will usually have a 6% trailing drawdown and it keeps trailing until your profit exceeds it. The forex firms usually have a 8-10% static drawdown which is much more forgiving in theory.

Example:

Futures:
Day 0: 50k balance, 47k drawdown limit
Day 1: 51k balance, 48k drawdown limit
Day 2: 47.9k balance, you've breached the drawdown.

Forex:
Day 0: 50k balance, 45k drawdown limit
Day 1: 51k balance, 45k drawdown limit
Day 2: 47.9k balance, 45k drawdown limit. Live to try another day.
