When I was trading this method years ago I only took trades where BB's on both sides where within the keltner channel. It's a good system if you are a patient trader. I consistently made money trading it.

BTC on M1, you can see we have a situation here where the bottom BB has contracted into the KC but not the upper band. Technically it's a squeeze, but does it imply any directional bias if only one band is in? Every other rule is valid, ST crossed down and momentum turned down. I'm observing and open to ideas. Maybe both BB bands do not need to pinched within, food for thought {image}

Look at this setup on GBPNZD on the Daily. Beautiful setup however the bottom BB expanded outside of the KC right before our signal. Rules are important, but so is context. Would we avoid this trade because of one bar? Discretion is an important part of trading and I believe context should be added to any trade you make. However, over fitting a system and making exceptions to compensate for every market conditions is terrible. Still testing the limits of what the squeeze and types of squeezes can offer for opportunities {image}

I haven’t set up this template to check myself, but which pair has a trade for Monday using this system? That seems like a good way to figure out which signals or shapes of BB KC, are the most reliable by seeing if they match up with other systems. The most reliable signal is likely the one that comes from independent systems agreeing with each other. I think that's one of the ideas behind the prop firms. The companies buying the signals from the prop firms probably look for agreement across different systems. So, what is the next trade for Monday?...
