Scalping within pullback to fill small price gaps still with main goal to fill daily open GAP. Accomplished on last trade, closed on double bottom from morning - price action seemed to be a bit manipulative before (triangle), so I played it safe.

Terrible performance today, I'm distracted all the time from the morning with various stuff and can't really focus on trading, managed to make only small profit so far, we'll see if I make some "normal" profit as well later.

I see a tough start for both longs and shorts. Nice work!

I was on the road all day and only managed to trade for a few minutes in the morning after LO. Now I see that a little later I would probably get back into profit again. Tomorrow is also the day.

I had this conversation this weekend with three of my trading friends. I am now committed to focusing 110% on the market when trading. If there is anything taking even 1% of my attention away from the market, I cancel orders, flatten open positions, stop trading completely. The market is always there when I am ready to get back to it, even if that means I have to take a day off from trading because my personal trading window has closed. Human beings are NOT built for multi-tasking, no matter what modern day "management experts" would have us believe.

Imagine a world class athlete trying to deal with grocery shopping list in the middle of a game or match.

Trading, like athletics, requires complete focus.
Life itself is a privilege, but to live life to the fullest is a choice

I agree it’s important to concentrate on the task at hand, I find my mind is not capable of intense concentration for extended periods of time. In my case it ( mind ) will start to extrapolate or create situations. The hardest part for me is waiting for a setup to appear. I’m in a relaxed but ready state to act when opportunity presents. This means I’m reading a book or some other activity whilst waiting for opportunity.
Funny how we each have different approaches to the market. Nothing is wrong if it leads to profits

Opening it against trend with tight SLs as we are on all time high right now and I await at least reasonable pullback to 20000.0 - 19990.0 support levels.

the first one is mine CFD
2nd Matomi's CFD ...looks it's copying futures
3rd Dax futures
4th IG Germany 40 Cash
5th my 2nd account with another provider Germany 40 Cash
Edit 6th added Dax index Börse Stuttgart

PS: I personally only trade BRN in the first and last pictures. But I observe also futures.

DAX +7 +2 -14 -11 -10 +1 +18 +17 = 22 pips today

Not much profit today, I made few hasty entries and gave money back to market, but no. 1 priority for me is to end day as winner. Sometimes it's really better to stay out of market as vidvad mentioned above, calm down and came back to do my job. Usually I make couple of entries, then switch to my full-time job (god bless remote work) and vice-versa. Absolutely game-changer in my mindset was something I read in "Trading in the Zone" book - market doesn't care. And it really doesn't, about your losses, winners, shorts, longs.. as long as strategy is back-tested properly and trader executing entries (and most important SLs) according to it, then it's fine even start a day with 5 losses in a row, and that happens to me often.

I came across these difference as well.. now tell me somebody which price is the real one . CFD is generally considered as "easy to be manipulated", but very often mini GAPs between candles that occurs on CFD charts are not present on the Futures and market tends to often come back, fill them up, and just form that point continue in original direction on my CFD chart, meanwhile on Futures chart it seems like normal pullback/continuation.
