Last month I limited my potential by freezing my trading once I got to 75 to lock in my very first 3-month run. Now I'm just gonna let it rip. If not for a trade-copier issue I'd be at 5%+ and that would rank quite nicely at this point.

This line you will recognize from the other board: the good news is........ i might have figured out the reason and a solution......

I have the same issue. Can you elaborate please what you figured out as a solution?

that could have been from enivids site or elite trader....... on elite trader i explained a bit more.....

this is just speculation on my part......

still not quite sure, but feel there is a saturation point where the darwin risk engine will stop copying your trades...... it seems to say enough is enough......

if that amount of trades, the saturated amount, is in drawdown, trades after that seem to be ignored..... those ignored trades might end up all big winners.....

and the saturated trades might all end up winners.......

in my case, it was over 34k in profit which seemed to be ignored, or had no + effect, and seems like there was never a single losing trade in any...... why would it over look that 34k.....

the solution, still speculation on my part, might be to not add to any trade..... if you have 1 es contract open and want to add another, close that 1 and open 2.......

the metatrader platform darwin uses is the hedge version...... we are used to the far more common net version....... net meaning the trades are combined into 1......

just to be clear, i do not think there is a number of open trades limit, but more like a saturated VAR limit......

i have been keeping a daily log of my ((return (since inception))/ account balance) and ( account balance/(return (since inception)).......

if you think about those formulas, and assuming i'm correct, at some point the balance should keep rising but the return not so much..... that would explain the 34k.....

my current ratio is, 1254/1160 with 0 open trades...... where 1254 is 12.54% return since inception and 1160 is 1,159,951 account balance.....

summing up, don't add to a losing trade...... close it first then reenter with desired contracts......

and again, just speculation on my part......h

another thing to monitor on a daily basis is your payments/allocations......

in allocations. pay attention to your P&L (Total) and your performance fees..... take a screenshot.....

it would not hurt to make a copy of everything associated with your darwin everyday...... put it in a folder named by date..... include in that folder a daily copy of your metatraders history report..... put those individual folders in a master darwin folder.....

you will quickly see the benefit.....h

As I stated early this month, going harder and stronger on Darwin and taking it by quarter......traded much larger sizes allowed DD to go beyond what I normally would, but I know how to average in/out of trades, especially since I am essentially swing trading futures with Darwinex.
My risk engine was at 1.32 to begin the month and as I allowed the DD, it obviously went down, so during the recovery I am at 0.72...the result is my MT5 balance is 20K higher than on Nov.1, yet I am displaying a loss of 3.2% for the month.
I should be experienced enough with the risk engine to know this would have taken place, so just trying to get to slight positive to keep my string of consecutive allocations alive.
Frustrating, but not the end of the world, and completely my own fault.

it might fall further..... there seems to be a overshoot on the correction..... it continues to fall even after everything is back flat and positive......

still 10 days left..... you could bonce back......h

Anyone buying permanent allocation with Black Friday 10% off?

On the other hand, if you subscribe for 3 years, then you will get 15% target allocation (which is 200euros off).

I can't make the decision between these two.

I can get alot of prop evals with $1200.....maybe use payouts to do the 3 year deal.....how much is the actual savings vs. monthly....looks like I'd be paying 35 euros vs. 43 that I pay now ( for futures)....the $200 off allocation is pretty good though and you can also take the $200 and pay the difference for a 10% or 5% target.

If you were looking at the LIVE trades your CLOSED TRADE EXPOSURE prob ramped up to near 90%+. While trades are open Darwinex monitors your risk and will close parts of your position to limit potential loss to your 'DARWIN Target Risk'. This usually happens when larger trades are held open longer. Darwinex REALLY hates large lingering trades. I've started holding PROFIT trades (with lock-in profit SL's) longer to get more pips and have noticed it happening to some of my trades that stretch beyond my avg winning trade hold-time. Darwinex adjusts so I expect eventually it'll let me hold trades open longer without penalty but for now...

Looks like you swung for the fences with large trades which recovered your account BUT the risk-engine prob CLOSED EXPOSURE on the majority of large lotsizes you used to recover. It would have been better to go for a slow recovery with smaller trades. Darwinex forces you to just take it easy and not to swing to much either way (they also punish high equity if you let the profit recede). You have to drive Darwinex like a Golf Cart and not a Ferrari.

Yes, that's what I did for 4 months...worked great 2.2-2.5% monthly. Yes, I did see my open trades have "closed exposure" which never happened when I was trading smaller. I am approaching darwinex as a quarterly or 63 day trading window, so really not too concerned as I am still 2 months and 1 week away from my end of quarter. I should have definitely been strategic and added on the 100K at my lows as I'm up like 7% from there.

It really overreacts. I have a max 2.75% dd on Darwinex but on my platform, my max dd at the very most is just below $400 in a 100k account. Usually under $50 dd. A mere $100-$200 dd (within that $500 range), knocks me down on Darwinex by a whole 1% or more.
It definitely doesn't like any sudden spike in trade size even if your trade size was small like .01 and you go to .50 next trade. No big deal in a 100K account. Right?
They are tricky. You can do anything you want but their algo takes revenge and you'll soon learn.
I have seen traders with a 3% dd and 30% profit. I don't know how they do it.

One thing I know is it's heavy on consistency.
I was trading 2 strategies. One with variable trade size and one with only one position and .01 trade size.
I decided to stop the strategy with only one position size last week and now I'm getting punished more with slight variations in trade size.
I think I'll have to restart the .01 and only 1 position again just to balance things for the algo's liking.
Funny thing is that it has been long since I'm not using any margin from the 100K. I'm literally trading with market money which is no risk.
They definitely have a carrot on stick input in their algo. Then they wonder why traders discontinue with them.
I think I've seen several traders frustrated with this construct and pulling out of Darwinex altogether.

haha, I'm not that organized. One thing I like about Darwinex is that it keeps track of things already.

$200 dd in a 100K account results in a 1% drop.

Recovered quickly but crazy algo likes to kick traders in the nut.

After recovery, with $10 dd in a freaking 100K account, it was happy again.

Maybe trick is to keep some very positive trades in the account and use them as carry trades, so dd rests within that unrealized positive dd amount.

I don't know but I was wondering why I didn't have those metrics as well.

I just know there are two different YouTube channels. One for Darwinex and one for Dzero. Makes sense that Darwinex channel has 10x more subscribers than DZero.

You would think that DZero customers would get access to the same metrics. Maybe after 5-6 months, or maybe after Gold level? Probably can find out in Discord or support chat.

Placing Take Profit orders at a similar level across positions in a given asset will result in an excellent R+ score.

Placing Stop Loss orders at a similar level across positions in a given asset will result in an excellent R+ score.

you may come across DARWINs that have good scores in the Risk Stability (Rs), Risk Adjustment (Ra) and Loss Aversion (La) Attributes, but whose R+, R- and Dc scores are not so high.
This can occur with strategies that use variable return targets that may depend on the level of volatility or the strength of a trend.

The above is exurbs for Darwin, not DZ.
They cater to Darwin more I guess but there are tons of clues there.

I use no SL, no TP and use varied targets to exit.
I must be a bad bad trader for them.
But screw them. I'm not going to change a thing.
I'm at the top of my game regardless at their do and don't list.
It's just a bunch of rules written by people who may or may not be able to trade profitably.
But they sure make it look like their rules is the law.
