Victor, try going down to the bottom of this page under similar threads and click on 4 hr colored MACD posted by iruosh. Its also found by reading through the thread towards the begining

Hi Dire!

Great to see you are still doing AWESOME w/your trading!! Congrats on the massive pipage over the last month!!

We have all got to love the trends that have shown themselves so strongly lately! & I agree w/the 1 hour entry method in direction of the trend using the s & r zones. Palmer has been sharing this strategy w/us all for quite awhile too (did you capture the break down from the triangle on Friday? Boy, did that happen quickly or what? ).

Hope everyone was able to capture some nice pips last week and may we all capture a bit more next week too!!!!

Speaking of channels and the EUR$...hmmm....could the next upside target be the high in July of 1995 at 1.4245 or the hight before that on 1.4530 in April of 1995? I had to go back to the monthly chart to find it. What would stop the Eur from increasing against the greenback? As I stated before, I'm not an eekonomyst so I'll let the charts tell me what to do...

The channels....Here's the daily, 4hr, and 1hr on the Eur$. The daily is at the top of the channel with the 4hr and 1hr in their own channels. The daily MACD has formed a Rt but has yet to turn down. The 4hr has the beginning of what might be a Rt, but a small one. This is what 'might' start to bring the daily back down from its Rt which could be a 'healthy move'. The 4hr is in a strong uptrend based on price and the 89 so the trip back down to the bottom of the channel might be a quick one and the Eur$ could resume it's uptrend to those longer term upside targets. The longer term short target is back down to the 1.3400 area based on the daily. Buuuuuuuuuuuut, since this is 400 pip move I don't know what fundamental factors are out there that could strengthen the US dollar that much.....

Hi, Roger Rabbit. There is no EA to this strategy, because it's not a mechanical strategy, you can't trade only MACD signals, there are a lot of things you have to cinsider before taking a signal: market rhythm, candle patterns (market emotions), support/resistance levels, trend lines, Moving Averages, divergency, price levels, news.
It's an ideal strategy for people who want to learn how to trade and not simply execute someone's rules.

As for your second question about SL, it's both easy and difficult question at the same time. It has been widely discussed on the thread, but the best post which I remember was given by Pips post 4643, page 310. There is also a good MP3 provided by Phillip where he says about "warm eating grass". If you are "grass" where do you want to be so that "the warm" will not be able to eat you. If you read through the thread you'll get the picture. Please, ask if you have questions.

thanks! What do you people think about EURO? I see huge divergency, strong resistance, something like a triple top - the temptation to short is veeeery strong! But it's against the trend and the price is still above 21.

This is a great thread. I have been trading Bill Williams stuff for about 7 years and his AO is pretty close to this MACD. That alone will make money, I used to trade the 3-5min charts now am doing the 15min 4 hour stuff. Thanks for all these great charts and posts, mp3, etc. Put up the Bill Williams stuff for a filter if you want, his AO, take the trade when both AO and Macd are Green or Red. I will have more to add later on, only been looking at this stuff about 4 days now.

Your MACD is set different then 5,13,1 if you set it to that and checked out RSI @ 7 you would see you missed the double bottom. The best trades I have seen with the MACD system is double bottoms and tops, and nice smooth rounding green to red or red to green.

I am looking to scale into a short to the 1.1971 level. Bounced of 89 with a little hammer candle. And bounced of of that Trendline from 12/2004. MACD is showng double top also. Anyone else looking at this one forming?

971 looks like it would be below support that has been building for about a month or so, It looks like it wants to go up / do a dbl top 1st That resistance is now support too.

Just my opinion. So take it with a grain of salt. The support of 1.1971 is a fibo move of the preceding week. It has been tested once on 7/18 in the last ten days. Looking for it to re-test that before moving up. Just 1 opinion out of millions. Here is the daily chart showing it break a triangle on 7/10
