Then it doesn’t matter where he trades: he can’t possibly become profitable (and his meaningful trading education can’t even start) until after he’s changed his mind about those three things. But some people only ever learn the hard (and slow) way.

There isn’t one.

"High leverage" and "good broker" are mutually exclusive.

A broker offering high leverage is (by definition) one that’s chosen not to be properly regulated, so it can't possibly be "good".

It really IS as simple as that.

Think about it, if he has never traded before, it really is up to him to find this out by himself.

The first filter is easy, open demo accounts with brokers that actually accept USA clients.

The second stage is for him to evaluate those options, while learning to trade, and possibly trade profitably.

The question is short on specifics and open to speculation as seen by the replies so far in this thread.

For instance, if he already knows about Metatrader and how to use it, he will have an idea about brokers by now.

Forex is not something that is conducive to hand feeding, question by question, unless you read every post here, I guess.

You got to get into and Get 'Er Done, take charge and go for it.

Most brokers prohibit U.S. residents from trading due to regulatory specifics, tax deferral, and other nuances that make compliance with American laws very challenging. It’s simpler and cheaper to forgo clients from the U.S. Thus, one workaround could be trading from the account of a relative or friend located outside the U.S. In this case, examples of reliable brokers are HFM, Tickmill and other well-presented brokers here on forum

But unfortunately, you’re not listening to the answers.

It’s as if you’re asking how to make 2+2 add up to 5, and when everyone explains why you can’t do that, you just say "But nobody’s answering my question," sublimely unaware that it’s the wrong question because it’s based on a mistaken and misunderstood premise (i.e. that such a thing could possibly exist).
