Is all very good and price always comeback until it does not and you are in a big trend and then you are screw.
Even niks that trades using cost averaging, which is what is really this money management strategy, he recognize that at some point you have to accept the loss

Don't have to be so nervous))) I was a poster in this tread earlier also and of course #IhaveWathcedTHATvideo!!!

Once upon a time I've understood that the basic rules don't fit my style. It's ok
Some day later one of the active posters here wrote "You just have to get a depo large enough to trade this way" - it was really WOW-point-of-view on the idea of MM But... Ok.
Today I've opened the old tread just to look after several interesting authors and what I see? SCREENSHOTS!

#LargeDepo+#DD_tillTheEndOfTrend... Why do you need a system to select a direction of the trade? Don't you have a coin to flip?

And Gringo, please, I want one thing to be clear: I don't criticize you personally and your trades. I'm not about it absolutely. I'm just shocked about some conception I saw from the beginning and its current stage of the development.

I'm really sorry if I was incorrect addressing to you (and sorry for my English also) - once again I write only about the current visualisation of this system logic.

it has been repeated many times in this thread and by KoF that the basic ema strategy on its own is not enough, IT WILL BLOW YOUR ACCOUNT - it MUST be combined with learning to recognise tough trends and effective risk management...

Have you found a better strat?

I have had a lot of luck with the ema strat but as Nik said it needs combined with PA. I've had several weeks of profit only to be caught up in a trend and almost all of wiped out in one session. You can search my posts here if you want a glimpse of the action. I recognized that I need to improve my PA, pick better entries and accept loses as part of the learning curve. I'll return once if I ever manage to understand Al Brooks Bar by Bar (his writing ability is shocking).


I'm no expert and I know that in hindsight its oh so clear but here are my thoughts on the initial less than ideal entries.

1. PA - Price has been going sideways for a good while and the price range is tightening up. There is a sudden rush of volume and PA starts getting volatile. To me this spells the possible beginning of a strong trend. Price then falls, EMA's cross down over the 200 which says to me that a trends likely in motion.
2. Volume - Maybe its just me but I do not find volume reliable once a trend kicks off. I cant understand gringo's first entry if I am reading the chart right, the next three on that green candle spike? Again it wouldnt be enough for me to get involved at that point, theres no sign with PA that the trend is slowing and its late in the session.
3. Entries - For me there are far to many initial orders close together which create a top heavy trend. The more top heavy a trend the harder it is to counter out of. Moving to HA an higher timeframes didnt make it look any better. Hopefully our man Gringo has the sort of pockets to handle this sort of draw down but otherwise

KoF states this simple fact many times in his paid courses - Standard Account with NO Commission Fee but with a slightly wider spread will enable the EMA and 1% Strategies. Try and use Instruments with 1 Pip or less spreads until you become a Process Master.

The EA Trade Manager belongs to another Trader and is available on the FF Forum but I have not been in touch with him over the past few months and you should seek his permission.

Another Food For Thought - the majority of Prop Firms including FTMO do NOT use live accounts (only Demo's) and these types of accounts fail as they do not allow the Market Makers (Top 10 Banks) to trade against the Retail Trader - a major issue. FTMO Account is traded by FTMO only (B Book).

I bought it years ago (both) and still use them to this day.
The Free YouTube Videos are only a sales tool and one sided (countertrend trading) and the real secret is in the courses.
But I am not the typical freebie trader, I pay for my education from great sources.
