and on the same tf (4hr) you have now had a beob which bounced off a trendline, kind of corroborates your pin down theory...Raz (that is if Bernanke doesnt send dollar soaring now)

Hi Raz,
That DBLHC on Daily is that not a signal for a long ???
Going short will go against the trend also.....any thoughts ??

here is another thing to consider, 168.90 is a Daily R/S line that seems to be holding down the pair. Until it breaches this line, I would be on the side line.
This pair have been on a long run now and for the moment it looks like a side movement to me. Dan

Yes it's a bullish sign but we're sitting right below s/r. We've also had an IB before moving up / out of the formation.

The horizontal I drew at 23.6% would be a possible retrace entry level or a small timeframe entry at around the low 168s was available, too.

However this MAY not be the best good risk/reward setup as we're near the top of a big run and the DBLHC came in the middle. Remember what I said about the middle? I don't like it.
And that s/r had quite a reaction last time.

But in and of itself it was bullish

Just not in a very clear / clean spot I guess.

Thanks for your comments much apprecited.
Have closed my long on this one with a small loss, I can see a small pin on the 4hour and I can see now where that 168.93 Res line would be a problem......will kick myself if it goes long now !!
Lets wait and see I guess.
Can I ask where would you guys enter on the DBLHC, on the close of the high of the second bar ???

Hi Mimas, I wouldn't consider this DLBHC as a good entry, it is in a top of a long LONG run. A better set-up here would have been if this was a DHBLC , it would mean something, a suggestion for a reversal or a ret. .
Normally, if you want to enter a "legit." DLBHC a safe entry will be above the second Bar, some people wait for a ret. to the second Bar but that is a riskier move that if successful will give you a better entry .... it is an aggresive approach. This is an inside bar, and a TBL(two bar low), which is showing we are sitting on some support.

I wouldn't put too much into this setup on the 4hr timeframe, as this happens a lot, with a lot of falses. Since you are new to PA, stick to the daily and weekly timeframes you won't regret it

be careful here, a lot of people get confused. That bar yesterday is a neutral bar(shows indecision). When the open and close are located in the middle of the bar. Look back 6 bars on your chart, that tall thing sticking out. That is a pinnochio(pin bar). My advice is too go through every page on this thread twice(I know it is a ton!) But I promise you there are so many examples of pin bars, and other price action bars your head will spin.

It will be so worth the read I promise!

I think they are just confirmation/receipt and then your access to the PF?

If I remember correctly you sign up via the webpage/homepage, get confirmation from Acceptiva(the CC handlers), then a J16 email, then you follow the contents of that and are in.

All pretty much within 24 hours.

If there are any questions anyone can feel free to contact me =)

People here are nice, unlike in SOME threads I could mention ;p

Exactly like that but it takes only 5 minutes to get your access to PF: At least it worked for me just 2 weeks ago!

And a great big thanks to all the others posting on this forum from whom I've learned so much it's hard to put in words.

I've been demo trading for a while and a bit of live trading for the past few weeks with limited or no success.

This morning I got up at 8:30 and began reading this thread it's now 3:30am and regrettably i have to stop reading or change the default font size to HUGE. In just one day I've learned more than I have in the past 4 months.

I'm on page 31 now (i'm taking it nice and easy) and do plan on joining the PF either when i get to the end of this thread or my paycheck comes in whichever comes first.

Anyway just wanted to give a big shout out and thanks to all.
