I am doing exactly opposite

I stopped trading futures, as I blown both MFFU and Apex account.

Wanted to reset atleast MFFU and then dropped it.

However, my mt4 with FXIFY is doing very well.

And thro FXIFY money, i will plan to open broker account. Good deposit.

Am still waiting for that situaltion

Trailing drawdown is a bigger hurdle for newcomers turning to futures... but once its crossed... futures firms has the potential of payouts.....people making crazy money with topstep, apex, mffu etc.....I have cumulatively made more with futures than forex...

Quick Question y’all.

Does anyone have a break even script for NinjaTrader?

For example when trading forex and I think my position is about to move against me, I usually have a script on my chart that I can click on and it moves all open position to breakeven.

For y’all that trade futures with prop firms, is there an easy way to move all open positions to breakeven once I think a reversal might occur soon.

yeah, exactly, traing drawdown was problem for me and that is why i blown both accounts.

And I will try demo may be..in futures.

Your method is perfect, one entry with an additional entry + stop loss and TP

Apex trailing drawdown is killing me!!!

Blew one account today and took my last account from $300 trailing drawdown to $1881 trailing drawdown.

I think I need a new firm.

With Apex, I’ve to keep closing any positive position to capture profits and then reopen another position just to keep riding the momentum.

I’m realizing that style of trading doesn’t suit me because I’ve to keep worrying about trailing drawdown to avoid been liquidated while in a trade.

I would never go back to forex (even if the USA allowed me to).

The traling DD trick ( for me) is always grab profits and re enter, if warranted....this way you never give back a big move, especially important with the intraday trail. Bigger moves, and depending on where you are with your trailing, get stop to BE+. I will only risk 10% of the trail, so even losses never really hurt. Takes me longer, but I don't mind.

Once I pass the buffer, I trade it with about double the risk of a $2,500 personal account. The key is the copying.....my new goal is 40 accounts accross Apex, Bulenox, TPT, MFFU and Topstep....just get in and get out with $50 daily......$40k per month. 80% funneling into personal account

Just like I did in forex props, payouts fund the new accounts, so never any outlay on my part.

Of course, hoping for significant AUM with darwinex as well, with ultimate scenario just copying amp personal and Darwin. No need for props and their rules. Just need the props to accelerate the personal account.

Also, it is fact that, analysing chart is easier in mt4.

User friendly in many ways.

Tradovate .... as you know.. even setting stop is difficult.

I have found out that i can set account liquidation setting possible though, and that i will make use of in future.

If you think it's going to move against you, close it. Let it pull back and re-enter. If it keeps going re-enter. Giving back the intraday trail is the worst. I always try to close with as close to the full $2,500 (50K account) in tact.

Yes, I actually chart the indices on CFDs in an MT4 account. Then I have my amp on MT5, Darwinex on MT5 and props on quantower.

With all this talk about trailing DD. I must say, trading futures on Darwinex is so stress free compared to the props.......there are no rules, no trail, can DCA.
I also had some thoughts come to mind for those still trading forex props.....let's face it, 10% in a month is very unrealistic, so you're not passing a challenge in 30 days.
Let's use 2.5% as a realistic monthly profit.....it will take 4 months to pass phase 1 and another 2 for phase 2, you are already getting 2 payouts from Darwinex and with way less stress aiming for 2.5% monthly. You are also now 1 month shy of gold, where you will scale far, far faster than the props.
So for all bitching and complaining about the split, if you use realistic gains of 2.5% monthly, you will make more with Darwinex even your first year than with the props.....once again, only needing 0.12% daily.
Once again, this math applies to succesful traders, not those trying to flip an account in 30 days and needing to buy 7 more to do so. I am speaking of real, genuine trading here.
I can actually be -2% next month and still get another allocation. Of course, I won't make any money that way, but the point is your cumulative return matters.

For y’all trading with Topstep.

How does the Maximum Loss Limit work for funded account?

From what I’m reading once your account reaches $52,000 in the express funded account,

Does that mean you need to lose the whole $52,000 for your account to be liquidated?

OR

Does you account get liquidated once you’re below $50,000 again.

I’m reading conflicting information on the web.

Incase my question is confusing,

I’m asking at what point does one fail the Topstep challenge after crossing $2,000+ profits in the express funded account and initiates withdrawal?

With Apex it trails until $50,100 and stops there. If your balance drops below $50,100 then you’ve failed.

Def below $50K, I can answer that without even looking....you essentailly have a 2K account.....which is still a great value to cost.
Yes, all firms your DD is what you can lose, that is all.
