gold's move today only depends on what uj does. any move above 141.50 and gold is done for the day. any move below 140.70 and gold rallies heavily

Ha ha I referenced this exact event a couple days ago in here talking about stops. That is the number one example of all time, lol.

I missed like 40 pages because i was busy with other things. I have NP with anyone except for some big mouths talking about 15$ stops and shorting like crazy but there are no real shorts and they are not there for a whyle and the funniest of all is that after the bullshow some short people dissapear in thin air. People like Zebi are as fake as they can be just my opinion.
The 15m traders they had opportunities to short as it is always possible to trade in several directions but ask yourself this question is your account really growing or ......
Everybody should learn to analyse at least H4 if they really want to grow there accounts by adding 1 or 2 zero's per year by trading properly and that's not going to happen when shorting whily bulls are in play it really ain't

Even in covid if i'm not wrong OIL went under 0!

I know about that day and actually have a video of it live. I'll find it a post it here today! That was bat shit crazy moment in FX history. Brexit the second one (GBP collapse).

Shit like this are always possible unfortunately.

Clean your glasses and see how my hedge went. The losses were relative small, with SL they would have been slightly less.

Isabella, most can't trade properly let stand they understand hedging. If they can't take a single trade with sl and tp why would some understand hedging after all its kind of advanced trading. Used it in the passed myself and it can work but its way more complicated then trading and adding in the right direction. Ass long as it works for you, that's all that counts

Hi Pedro,
While I make no comment on your general advice re S/L, leveraged traders should be very well aware that having a Stop Loss in place on your chart is no guarantee of saving you from a disastrous crash, whether permanent or flash.

Foreign exchange traders typically limit their losses by using stop-loss orders that get triggered when the price falls below a certain level. In this case, however, there were no bids below €1.20, so the euro immediately collapsed in value, rendering the stop-loss orders useless."


SNB's b/s move was before my time, but a more recent disaster occurance a few years back happened on Yen pairs on the first trading day in January of a new year.

So use a disaster stop loss, babysit your trades, hope your EA will sense imminent catastrophe and respond accordingly, BUT amongst all these options available realise the type of game/market we are playing in (ASIC in Aus now requires local brokers to have a loss limit no greater than your a/c balance written and in place).

Myself I like to be out of the market more often than being in the market, if you know what I mean.
Each to their own. As long as we all understand the playing field we dabble in.

I haven't seen that over leveraged with no stops god forbid here yet. Apparently no stop loss but the positions are still small.
