Hi phillip , i was reading the post # 4496 again, no wonder palmer has it in his signature line, so i realized my mistake , this is from your tape script of the post.

"At the end of a run, if price will push below the 21 EMA , it tend to pull back to it, sometimes it goes a bit through it and then come down to the 89 SMA"

Thanks for all your help.

Hey folks...

I've been pretty busy with the 'normal life' these days an haven't had much time to post. This whole week is going to be busy for me but I'll try an stop by as time permits.

I didn't see much in the way of the EUR$ so I went to my other friend the $Yen and saw the Rb forming. I got in a little earlier on the 1 hr because the Rb forming on the 1 hour looked strong and I noticed that the 4 hour was bouncing around the 200 and was finding support there as well. After the Rb formed on the 4 hour I entered a buy limit and got in on the retrace; per Phillip's magical method. I dumped a few lots when the 8/21 area was hit and I'm still holding on to a handful of lots. I'm going to keep an eye on these and I will most likely exit early because of the PPI due out tomorrow morning. I don't like giving anything back. I'll see what the Asian session does for a little while at least.

If anyone else is trading with FXDD...Did the server seem a little slow today or is it my 4th head cold of the year that has me in slow motion???

Trade well....

Hi all.... Hope everyone here made out last night... Nothing like making over 400 pips simply by waking up in the morning.....

short E/u for 20 pips
long g/u for 50 and 86 pips
long g/j for 116 and 136 and still going one lot
long a/u for 17+ currently on 2 lots and still going....

price action was great on these trades... all except e/u had broken up above previous resistance, and the previous highs... with price level and the previous highs providing major support. These were almost "perfect" setups.... study these and take away what you can.....

Update... closed remaining because of resistance and slowing movement along with hitting price levels for a total of 472 pips (keep in mind I trade 2 lots on trend continuations only) This puts me at 89.29% success rate since being able to get back to trading on June 20th for a total of 735 pips.... I know I missed recording a loss or two... so in reality it's probably 85% and around 650 pips.
DireXiv Make it happen, no one else is going to do it for you...

I want to thank you Phillip, for very informative daily wrap up, it was one of the best messages of you, very valuable information about the price moving around MAs. Also a big ty to BIL22005 for asking this big question about 21 EMA. I wanted to give an answer on that one, but Phillip gave a perfect answer, so thank you guys again.

Hi all,

I am making through the thead and today I have found a very interesting part discussing the Inside tops (aka nested dolls by TamKras). As I studied the UJ I found that this little pattern is emerging in front of my eyes. (see attached chart). So I took the chance and started a little experiment.

My reasoning was:
Enter where the red horisontal line is (the top of the pattern was the previous upward candle's upper tail and this is the point where the lower shell of the pattern)
Exit where the pattern ended previously (around the 365 ema)
Stop at the 200
The trade is according to the mood so no problem with the bigger tp.
(And the MACD is maybe working on a round top)

Curious about the outcome.

Robert

Just thinking out loud here...

The 4 hr MACD charts have been looking difficult lately. But, take a look at the 1hr charts for the majors. Look at all of the Rb's and Rt's that the 1 hr shows...

Soooo, when the 4 hr looks like it does now, might it be 'safe' to trade the 1hr signals until the 4hr gets back to 'normal'..Here's a 1hr EUR$ chart. That buy position was a post news trade so pay no attention to it. Check your charts for the 1 hr Rt's and Rb's...

The outcome must be 70 pips from the setup you showed, plus 40 pips from the current IT bounce. Good eye, Robert. You will need to practice these setups over long period of time to be confident in trading them.

It turned out good, this formation goes to my journal as well. This is another example for what you and Philip are teaching us: look for similarities in the chart's history and you can predict the future with higher accuracy.

This thread is invaluable to those who want to understand the market. Glad to found you.

Hello everyone , i have a question about one hour early entry. I do understand the main concept that we can use it for a TC signal off of 8 or 21MA. but if u look at chart #1 for GBP/USD that is the 4 hour candle today for a TC signal 1200-0400 candle on GMT. Ok now if u switch to the 1 hour chart , the second chart attatched. now the first candle at 1300- 1400 closed between the 8 and 21. and teh next candle after that 1400- 1500 gmt was the one that actually bounce off 21. but it was too long if wait for it to close. So what i am trying to ask is would it have been ok to enter at close of first candle since it closed above the 21 and macd gave a bull signal as well. Or some discretion is allowed as far as the actual BOUNCE of a MA is concerned.( which is another question i will ask in the next post).
Thankyou for your reply.
