I wouldn't even spend more than $50 per month on any challenge test that doesn't have a good certainty. I think with your salary as an Engineer, you could already buy a Lambo in 3 years. Impressive that you can keep working your main job while also being a trader. It's very good if the all-time profit exceeds the losses.

Exactly as i said it depends on your trading style and plan. My plan is go big or margin call. Plus more than half of those evals cost as i mentioned at the beginning of my prop firm journey when i wasn't profitable.... now its pretty less for example last payout - spend 390$ on mfff 50kx3 (inlcuding 1 reset) and pulled 3600$ payout. Before that apex payout of 27k - after spending around 2k in evals + activation....... In futures investment vs returns are improving exponentially.

By any standard,

500 $ + in a day is good enough.

it gets so easy with time because you get experienced with what you do and did go in your own niche and developed to a master. that is a good way to get good.
and it just started... now you get rewards for 7 years and all depends how long you can do it this way (stay healthy, stay mentally fit, stay out of to toxic relationships..... hold your course). you have now 140k in 7 years since starting with trading. thats a good value , and now the fruits come the next years even more big and bigger...

develop to a master and get big experience in what you do, and you will be better in it against most. thats the key for trading,... finding your way and follow. (and of course without gambling..... you invest small so i would not call you gambler in any way - not at all with your way to live and your salary, you did design all in nice ratio to each other).

what i did forgot to mention. at the moment you have with this 140k the same like when you would have a salary job where you could take from the salary in nasdaq etf 1000 usd each month for 7 years (if you can take more then 1000 each month then of course you would get more wins with etf), that is with nasdaq average 12 % each year (1 % each month) exactly your amount you have (i know, in last years was much more win in nasdaq , so nasdaq etf would be better , but that was not sure what distribution will happen in what year, so lets calculate the average win). so the slow way would be exactly same point like your fast way, but you would not have this experience now for additional opportunities. now you can have both, add the simple easy slow way to get rich (for near sure) by simple by index etf over time each month together with your trading and have the best of both words.... will make all a different kind of game....like accelerator. (slow and fast together is in general super fast, because possible to add)

that will bring you in the 1 million percentage win group faster then you think its possible.

What do Prop firms do when you break a rule? (Say for example, you go $1 above their daily drawdown limit)

originally i thought that the cheating groups would be banned by the props and make the noise. Instead rise is doing the work for them and now the boycott rise thing is picking steam. Prop firms saved by rise it was not on my bingo card.

All is traceable up to some point in blockchain, giving some signals that things may be a group (for example, when a lot of accounts from different props end up systematically in the same final account(s).

There was a guy that made a nice work about that and all that seemed a big cheating operation

Did not do much in NY session.

I did accept some loss trades, but overall, a nice profit.

As I said, anything above 500 $ + is good sign

this will avoid liquidation level

was spending some time looking at my apex dashboard...... down at the bottom were 2 tabs, one saying dca and another saying probation......

could not think of when i dca or why i would be on probation.........

clicked on them both...... read both probably 4 times..... thought and thought....... both seem directed dead at me......

gave up and contacted apex support..... they got back probably less than an hour..... turns out those tabs are just standard info type material.......

unless you get a email saying specifically you have done wrong, there is nothing to be concerned about......

as long as you don't commit the acts mentioned in those 2 tabs......h
to trade and code, keep both simple... no call to impress....h

It is talking mainly about inner working mechanisms than rather objective things I would also liked to hear here.
Let me tell you what is also important to me when answering this question, who can be or is a profitable trader at a prop firm ?
Other than Humbleness, Being stubborn etc.

1) Kind of education helps. (It also shows above average intelligence, all kind of sorts of intelligence speaking here)
There is/was a saying in a bank I can recall that a fully studied person has a 50% chance to be successful in the fron office as trader.

2) Money. If a trader has 50k to 100k FREE TRADING MONEY, which he can use for trading without the need to pay bills from, that is a big plus. Because if you can buy many challenges there is always kind of lottery winner as payout later which covers all the paid fees before.

3) Time spent for trading. At all, in years and second, how long per day/week, trading fulltime or parttime having other fulltime job, would be another important point, to decide whether that candidate of trader should be profitable or not. Everyone heard of the Mozart effect, that it takes AT LEAST 10000 hard working hours to be a master in any kind of subject. I think trading is much hard than learning an instrument, because I know this, I learnt myself to the professional master status playing one instrument, and there is a guidance. (and if you ask why I did not continue as profession, it was the expected low salary as musician, cause doing art is a fine thing itself so i switched to trading). As in trading there is no handbook or teacher teaching you useful things. So it would take at least 50000 hours or so I say.

4) Character things. Having the right mindset, that was the video in a narrowed view talking about. But that is not enough I say.
My inner mindset most important things. Stay cool, regardless of market, or loosing streak etc. Patience waiting for good setups etc. and Goalsetting I like too. Of course Humbleness is minor point, you need to have as requirement as also being stubborn.
