Everybody is really good at dishing out this advice or a rephrased variety of it:

"If you're gonna play the game, boy
You gotta learn to play it right

You've got to know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away
And know when to run


It's like saying you gotta know when to buy and when to sell.

Pretty easy right? And You gotta KNOW. What's wrong with you all? Why don't you'll know ?
Kenny Rogers did say the guy rendering the advice was pretty much a freeloader of some sort:

For a taste of your whiskey
I'll give you some advice

he drank down my last swallow

Then he bummed a cigarette.

I guess this gambler was just good at giving advice.

Rogers gives a hint in these words:

And somewhere in the darkness
The gambler he broke even


Yah, it is about pursuing something in life
It doesn't say the gambler knew when to hold and fold.
Just says without knowing the solution, you probably be drinking and bumming cigs
just like the gambler but there is no "how" involved.
I know what the issue is but engaging would just lead to more crying about how disagreeing means you are toxic or whatever. So carry on.

jr , ahh , the "go to s " the "cant miss" the boom like clock work , still is but not the same way , as said no time to hardly keep up with my own sh-t , but judging by the "number of days" Mr Monty s "winning streak" was and the last week being "different " could very well be wrong , but as to "seeing" what was "traded" a lot of times before , a conclusion was made , still a "go too" just not maybe the same way at the same time anyway as said just another opinion that matters not and that be the opinion of "learning " something and what it may mean to ones own account stead of paying somebody for a "chance" the time some have put into research tho , I hope all get it back 10 fold , shouldnt matter how one TAKES it from this sh-tty little game called the "free markets " its fagazi from the get go always has been always will be ,it is far from a "gamble "tho, still a far cry from what its "made out to be"

Well, there is another song somewhere that says:
If it is low, it can go lower. If it is a high, it can go higher.
If it looks like it's going down, it could go up.
If it looks like it is going up, it will go down.
If it has been doing something forever (up,down,side), it can keep doing that or it's built in rocket could ignite.

If there is some UNIVERSAL filter that whispers in your ears that makes you configure what it will do even in the next 20 seconds to beat this uncertainty, then you've got the 'know' to hold and fold.
If not, it's all SPECULATION and somewhat of money management.
Only to be back in the same situation listening out for the universal filter on your next trade.

Digger, I( know you have been around and I think you are doing well but those charts you posted scream of 'after the fact' eye candy.
The best it conveys is ' a more probable' time to jump on a potential.
RSI, McD and other oscillators are good at that.
Your charts are pretty but they don't shout out that universal whisper to me.

jr , eeh not supposed to be anything whispering , the simple fact is business is done in quarters as of yet , so reckon it would be a good place to start , till the measuring stick isint quarters , ebb an flow to everything , or everything is just a cycle , one that isint quarters, starts long for I was born , Id bet one could find some quarterly levels quite "useful" yea , sure its all "real" , any "main street" look any where close , anyway , just seen Mr Monty s post , not looking to take away from the time and effort put in by some here , have enjoyed watching him on his journey, one plays the cards as they are dealt , some things can give one an idea what the "house" can be up too, they play the same every time , yet ????

Ok, I get that. Seeing the bigger picture...
yup, Monty amazing.
I keep thinking if Monty, (hi Monty ) is still overall ahead with all the payouts he has received,.
If yes, then nothing to worry about. If no, then ouch.

jr , ooy tell ya the truth , took a chance at peeking at em following with what Mr Monty posted , been trying hard not to peek , get in nuff trouble with something slow like gold an welp into that "kinda" trader are ya "looking to " "" invest" gonna throw some tater tots in and be rich in no time , or is one "working " if short one might have some "gumpys" or runners left with a faint "bulls eye on em from round the blue area ,an if short one would be tryina get to there , week end will well the week end will have to be gotton thru ,and a week open , then another same ole week will get going in earnest , these fellers are the "faz" in fagazi so doubt whether it takes em long to try an get things going the "easy " way would be a start anyway , be the "typical" asia to get thru etc etc ( an if meat head aka us30 ) as said , havent been peeking much sh-t goes off the rails too quick these days an buy or sell , there will be times either or will pay ya on any given day ,

long term or "investing" at some point one would "think" some sh-ts gonna come due , but in fagazi land it never seems too ,least not for some , now the working folk , different story , ought to be spectacular if /when it does , might be a couple 3 years after the globe quits spinning tho ,

Let us say the lag is 10 points between them.

For me, the best way to find a reversal point is mt4. I co relate with tradovate when reversal accurs in mt4.
