Plan for 50K TopStep Account

I am starting a new 50K combine of TopStep.

Parameters for combine are as follows:
Profit Target: 3000
EOD Trailing Max Loss Limit: 2000
Max Position Size: 5 contracts

I am going to trade only one contract.

I booked my first loss in Crude with 9 pts, total loss #90+3=93.

One more stop loss hit. Today's total loss: 286. Both trades were aggressive reversals.

Maybe work on your stop losses a bit, NQ was too tight.

Trading plan improvements

2) Two trades per day.

You should take all trades according to your trade plan on your trade time ( 8:15-10:30 & 1:30-3:00)

3 ) If first trade stop loss hits, wait for at least 1 hour for next trade.....

You should take all valid trade setups in your trade time, doesn't matter was last trade loser and how long ago it happened.

6 ) Fixed risk and fixed reward

Size of risk and reward should be market dependent. Stop must go below swing low or above swing high. It can't be in the middle of entry candles. Same with target. If market average daily move is 1000$ and market is already moved 700$ it means 300$ move is left then expect to get 625$ , is may happen but most time it don't happen. Also size of stop or target can't be dependent how many winners you have.

Last Friday I passed TOPSTEP 50k Combine. Some of my stats :
Lets focus on losers. If I had stopped trading after 1st loss , I could not take second trade.
And second trade on average toke me back also back almost to zero.

Right now, my main goal is discipline. Loss is not concerning to me, but I observe I broke 2 rules in plan: 1) I took reversal without confirmation 2) Today, I took a trade outside of my time.

Definitely, I agree with you I need some improvement.

Broke 1 more rule and attempted 3rd trade and 2nd within 1 hour after hitting stoploss. Loss!!!

Next week, goal is,
1. To take trade in scheduled time.
2. To take with-trend trade.
3. To take only 2 trades per day.
4. To take 2nd trade after 1 hour of 1st trade.
