Pending order. higher timeframe already confirmed the reversal. I am just looking for a tight re-entry. You probably hear about ppl taking 50% of a pin bar.. it is something like that

I missed this trade about 2Pm my time because I was I work, but I think I'm seeing the setups now. Just got to be around to take them.

This one had it all I think, fib window, retest of resistance, all the SMA in order and pointing up, and a round number.

I got stopped out on this shortly after London open. Spread was quite wide at about 5 pips, but I had added a few pips to my stop.

Any comments?

This is a properly labelled chart with clear entry and exit. Please not attach a chart with a mysterious blue line and some arrows on the trigger and msg me where did you go wrong. 30mins chart is very fast. Am I suppose to scroll back days and try to guess? I read charts, I do not read minds. This is a free consultation, at the very least, don't waste my time.

Different than our Hector 3SMA, just a crossover technique, but using the basics of Hectors MT4 Template

MA's are all you need. Try out different settings and perfect them. Trend lines are not necessary, actually they're more harmful than helpful. MA's are great and are already proven to be more than enough for profitable trading. Harder part to master is money management and psychology. MA's are great for trend trending and that's what this thread is all about. Keep it up!

Greetings folks, old trading / investing hand. Never had time for forums until recently due to a change in work.

I'm primarily a 4hour TF, mid-to-long swing trader. I swing for big figures, cause it's just that much more efficient a use of time.
(got other responsibilities for my time + after reflection, I realized I hate sitting in front of the screen watching the charts tick tick tick by).

I've never been able to make anything below that timeframe work consistently.
Good old Jesse Livermore did mention, "the money is made by sitting tight", and indeed I have found, that when the trade is going in my favour, I want to be in for as bloody long as possible and try my best to add to my winners. Stops... well those are what gets you out and keeps you alive in the long pull.

Looking for an interesting place to park my time in the mean time.

from the charts, NZD looks weak across the board, as does CAD.
Am looking for levels to short NZD/JPY, CAD/JPY, and Long EURNZD, GBP/NZD.

GBP/CAD is a candidate as well, daily RSI6 is overbought and 4hour oversold.
Linearity for this pair is high.
Now if we just had some decent bullish candles...

Macro notes:
Generally risk-off. Nasdaq (NQ) is down, JPY is strengthening.
Amongst the pairs, the antipodes, AUD & NZD are displaying the highest weakness in classic risk off fashion.
They were perceived to be the highest-for-longest interest rate c/banks and the antipode/JPY carry was pretty much in nice force.

It's unwinding in a hurry.
Bull climbs stairs, bear jumps window.
Classic macro unwind... the "macro rubber band". The bigger and longer the upswing, the faster and sharper the decline.

Does anyone here have the 3sma with projection lines (grey dotted lines) indicator for mt5? (Mql5 or .ex5) ?? Or is there anyone who is willing to help code it into mt5?
