Golfer thanks a lot for your post, actually I also look at the 21ma since it is a more reasonable indicator. Your support and resistance lines are a great filter, I now draw them on almost every trade.

I agree, Lower Highs/Higher lows, and the other factors you mentioned are also important, since when reading this thread I noticed how they sometimes play a role in price movement and help in making decisions.

And I guess you're right, many trades yet to come...

On the other hand, I actually write the tests LOL.

Plus, the daily ranges of the pairs I'm looking at seem to have gone mad. Cable is fairly normal at 161, Eur/usd is 194, Eur/jpy is 153, and Usd/jpy is presently at 223.

Anyone got any info?
A special day for the dollar ... it's 1.372x+ aniversary ... new ALL TIME high record against euro.
In the mean time the new all time record is 1.3785 !!!

Am setting up a chart for this method

I see different settings from users - emacro shows DMI of 13 and ADX 8,
while eyevoltage shows ADX of 13 on the charts posted

Also is SMA angle a peculiarity to Meta as I run Tradestation and have nothing like it in my tool box

Be careful when there is a big candle like that - look at the pullback afterwards (time after the picture). Recovery right through the war zone.

I tend to ignore setups with big candles like that and then I wait for the price/pair to recover/show trend with smaller candles in the same direction.

I found these books on a public site and I consider them as vital.
Take a look for a better understanding of the "hammer", "hanging man", "doji", "engulfing patern", "dark cloud cover" and all that continuation and reversal formations Eyevoltage was talking about some posts ago. Maybe his (exceptional) descriptions of the formations seemed tricky to some of you .. here are the explanations of his terms.

Believe me - they are well documented, full of exemples and vital to anyone who wants to become a trader.

Enjoy.

P.S. This first book is uploaded at rapidshare because it is 4Mega in weight. A month without any download will have it removed. If so ask for it and I will upload it again.
