Fairly long uptrend, would look for a either a stronger break of TL or break and pullback and enter on second break.

Busy morning 7 trades 5 wins and 2 losses. PA kind of slow and jumpy. News not seeming to have much effect.

Still not entirely comfortable with changes I had to make, but also don't want to put a new windows download on, too annoying. No one seems to be able to fix windows error 0x80070017 have about 10 different recommended fixes with no luck.

PA slow and kind of jerky no real direction so far.

Forgot to mention I am trading MES today 6 contracts. I'm tired and have a headache. When I feel like this I either don't trade or step down a bit. Since I wasn't able to sleep I traded. Think I'm done for the day. Going to jump in the pool and do some laps and try and work out this headache.

@RP - You are making it look so effortless buddy. The lunchtime Coldies ( & the Lovely Lady too ) are preventing me from opening the charts while we are on holiday. It will be great to get back to it soon & share /compare. Off to Tinaroo tomorrow for a few days then back to Broadbeach on Gold Coast for final 10days of this trip. Sorry literally forgot to post my trades this morning. Got involved in some other things trying to fix windows error, then started binge watching Vikings Valahalla.

this just doesn't work for me. if i were to trade this the way i understand i'm supposed to trade it, 9/10 days result in small to large losses. currently trading forex.

my understanding of this method. 5 pip bricks:
buys: MACD bullish, heiken close > ema channel.
sells: MACD bearish, heiken close < ema channel.

trade management from my understanding:
10 pip sl, can close early if you want. should look for 5-8 pip early close instead of the whole stop.
trade management from my understanding:
move stop up 5 pips after 1 brick in favor. be after 2 bricks in favor. after that, watch the market and close on macd switch.

the trades would be as followed:
-5, -5, -5, -5, -5, BE, BE, -5, -5, BE, BE, -5, -5.
-45 pips overall.

obviously, this isn't the best day in the world, but most days for me look like similar to this, just not as bad. i'm almost always down 10-50 pips with lots of BEs and small losses. very few days result in positive pips, and very few times do i get an actual run in my favor. when i do, it's usually not nearly enough to make up for the losses accrued along the way.

i've read a lot of pages, but i still don't know the exact trade management rules. i don't know what i'm doing wrong. maybe i'm using the wrong pair or instrument. maybe i need larger brick sizes for forex. i don't know. any advice?

Do me a favor and post chart without the boxes you are showing as trade signals, it hard to see blue boxes and down candles are too similar. BTW the stop I begin with is 15-20 ticks not 10. Also, I don't trade every signal that I see, this is a discretionary system. Also, I don't use MACD for exits, I very often get out before it crosses. What are you trading on the chart?

First of all on USD Forex pairs, about 3 pips per block are about the biggest you can use on inter day time frames to make money as the range is small compared to US indexes. Otherwise you will get chopped up all day long.
Honestly there are only a few good markets every day that are worth trading with this sort of strategy.
In my opinion for what it’s worth (about 3cents), here is my top trading markets to trade in order as from July 2024 using this strategy with.
1. ES (us500)
2. NQ (nasdaq)
3. Bitcoin
4. Gold
5. RTY (Russell)
6. Oil
7. Trending Forex pairs

DAX is also good but I don’t trade it.

But honestly ES is a killer, no need to use other markets if you trade the US markets session.
If your’e a manic scalper, then NQ may just be your ace market provided you take trades based on higher direction.

Lastly - My opinion is based on trading Renko bars for only a few months and I also use order flow tools as well (DOM & Cum Delta) but Rocky is the expert here.
