Why did eurusd go up after French elections? European Parliament elections showed a huge support to right-wing parties - then eurusd went down, now right-wing party gained the most votes in French election - eurusd goes up. Could someone explain?

New open/pending positions: TP @ 1.07230 and SL @ 1.07650.

Based on my analysis, I expect that the EUR/USD price may initially retrace downwards to fill the gap created by the opening surge, before potentially rebounding to the 1.08000 price level.

Keep in mind that the market is always changing, so it's important to stay flexible and adapt to new information.

Could have been worse : It could take as long to fill the gap as the 2022.02.20 black hole.

As for me, missed some 0710s-0720s entries, but got better TPs on others... So evened out beautifully. Luck !

Gaps are natural occurrences...
30 some pips moves are natural intraday moves = such a gap should not be a surprise...
Elections aren't done and will not, alone, cause precisely what will happen to price in such short time...

Quick DAILY Outlook

  1. Bull momentum still alive and once bulls broke out from the bearish cone (at 1.0710) it provided additional momentum. Nice!
  2. Now I will watch 1.0782 area resistance. If bulls are truly dedicated, they soon will break this too.

That said... for now because we are right at resistance, I am on sidelines... No rush! Step by step...
