Hi guys,

I havent traded a lot usd/cad before, but why is CAD so strong right now? Is it because of increase oil prices? blooming econ?

I mean its interest rates are still below that of US...

Whatever it is as a Canadian business person who sells his stuff in US$ I'm suffering a lot. On the other hand it's kind of fun that CAD is so strong.

It's mostly strong commodities, a good trade balance, a budget surplus, a political/economic environment favourable to M&A based flows, and less international political friction.
