I agree with you. The way price moving like right now could mislead people believe and bet more on the bull side and easily forget the plan of selling high. Before the most anticipate news of the month, this always made me think 'It's a trap'. Take care to all

Agreed also, perhaps sit back now and enjoy the fireworks as price starts its' jittery up and down to the news. I don't plan any action now till around 15:00 GMT.

In the current setup, this Gap even more so encourages me to hold on to my shorts. Im not expecting this to be closed anytime soon, especiall since everybody is anticipating it.
CPI news today will be interesting but with NFP last week being such a blowout JULY rate cut is off the table anyways. Hence limited impact for CPI today unless its significantly below expectations.

Just my two cents... trade carefully!

I don't know how to do fundamental analysis. But I will give my opinion on the movement.
I BELIEVE that the price will close this gap TODAY. The market doesn't like gaps (my view)
Yesterday the price formed Suprote at Fibonacci of 61.8% and also "Neutral Zone" "Center of the channel"
I'm going to look for a buying position, unfortunately it's in an uncomfortable region to position.
The DXY is also indicating a decline with the MACD diverging from the 4-hour time frame and decreasing. (The fall is more evident than the EURUSD is evident for the rise)
I hope you check your analyzes and see if they coincide in any way with mine. I'm going for pure technical analysis. haha
Although I think the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA wants to VALUE its coin at all costs, right?
Will we see 1.08600 and 1.0900 today?

I see inflation as falling, so I expect either an as-expected outcome, or a small miss.
In both cases, I expect markets to be happy.
As Core CPI YoY YoY is expected to retreat from 3.6% to 3.5%, it would be good news ahead of the Fed.
I see markets as being scared of bad news, and if the news is not horrible, it means good news

We are heading to the hour of truth - the news. None can predict what will happen, where the price will stop and return and when, there are only probabilities that change fast. Anyone that respect it's self will stay aside, exit or manage it's risk using any method like diversification. The more courageous will left open their order using simple stop loss and the gamblers will not use one, that last is the worst, an account can wipe out fast without warning but you have been warned!

Rarely gap is not closing. Odds are that gap will close. Focus on "gap close".. Easy peasy!
