Quick Weekly Outlook

  1. I keep sharing this, so you know where we are headed long term. Slow but steady, we are going into the void.
  2. Don't panic though. For now, I first expect bears to retest 1.0651 area.
  3. Before we continue deeper, I still expect a pullback that fills the gap and also retests some of the left-behind resistance areas.

This is where I think we are once EU broke the expanding formation (Green lines).

There could be a bounce to test the bottom side of the formation to around 1.0790 / 1.0800 but you cannot count on it (monthly pivot). It is better to wait for it on the sidelines and short when it happens, if it happens.

After that, EU should fall again with a possible ultimate target of 1.0220 in the next 30 to 45 days, which is about the 61.8% Fib retracement of the entire leg up. But even this is not guaranteed. It could go lower...

Of course, with CPI and the Fed meeting this week, anything can happen.

Regarding the closing of the gap, it could happen this week or a year from now, so I would not put my money on it.

What can save eur now is the French vote out Macron and bring back Napoleonism, so they can go to work more and less protest.
