I just sold the dog to go all in on the next divi trade
lucky I rubbed my crystal ball and recovered on the last trades of the week, ended up positive +17%

Little bit of backtesting while I sit on a hangover..

Just for fun, no prediction just a trade every 15 minutes for six months and a sensible average +close:

random trading (scalping + hedging) on a small cent account, without any analysis or philosophizing gives me the best results

may i ask what leverage did you use in the extreme backtest?

I've many EAs which produce similar results, more proof than as long as you can cope with the DD there's method to our madness. I'm working on something at the moment which works manually to reduce those green hanging DD vines but I'm buggered if I can be arsed to sit in front of the PC to place all the trades. Manual results keep proving positive but I'm always amazed how much effort is required to replicate manual trading. Might be a false dawn but, until I prove otherwise, I'll keep going.
Sounds like a lot of screen time to me.

Sorry birdland I've overwritten that one working on another project. From memory I was using max 20 positions at 0.1% each 200 pip SL to get the correct position size. Max drawdown on that was only 16%

I get a bit obsessed with this stuff and should write things down. There's gold dust everywhere in my office but not in the bank

I'll re create it when I've finished cracking Billy's safe

Same here re projects although I'm a little more diligent these days in case I stumble across the Holy Thimble, not necessarily looking for mechanical trading methods more a way to automate the boring bits for me.
Sounds like a lot of screen time to me.

Same here but my problem is if I think of something I need to test it otherwise I can't sleep!!

This account had 1:1000 leverage . But this screenshot is actually from a buggy ea.

Ha! Too true. That's why I got so pissed of with that IDDD character. The hours I sometimes put in to find and test/change/update things and he just wants it handing on plate..

Agreed, I often wondered myself why people don't just post "Do this and you'll be rich" type info but it would be like giving a grenade to a 6 year old. For a start I've invested 1000's of hours just to get to this level of incompetence and secondly even if we handed someone a brush it doesn't mean they could fashion a piece of artwork. Look at those DDs, how many would actually be able to sit on some of those even if all the evidence shows it will come good in the end.
Sounds like a lot of screen time to me.
