Thank you for your words. I agree with you. Even though it may have given the impression that I view trading linearly. I don't do that. I know there are ups and downs and no certainty of a guaranteed result. I have been a self-employed entrepreneur for as long as I can remember and have never had the luxury of a linear income such as a salary. Trust me on that. The thing is that with my self-employment I can expect a certain basic income and for various reasons I would like to replace this with trading. I just can't find a way. That means if I want to achieve a certain minimum income (on average) so that I don't have to constantly pay my expenses from my savings account and it becomes increasingly empty. The idea is to be able to live off the trading profits and make regular payouts in order to be able to live off of them and NOT let my savings or my trading account steadily decrease because I'm constantly making payouts from them instead of from my actual trading profits. Yes, I've often taken a break for a few months, but I'm not getting any younger and I'm afraid that if I try to focus again it won't get any better because I can't seem to find one thing that's worth focusing on in order to achieve the goal I have to achieve. It's very frustrating but that's how it is. Trading according to the motto "I'll place a few trades here and there" in order to possibly make a little extra money (or not) is just not my concern.

Yes, I'm not actually looking for an EA either. As I said, I mentioned this dividend trade because of the simple rules and mechanical/structured process at certain times. But so far I haven't seen any way to regularly generate a certain minimum income with that so that I can live on it. Somehow I just find junk that doesn't even begin to work as advertised.

You need to change your mindset. The entry process for the divi trade in mechanical yes but you will only make money from it (or any other mech system or entry process) with proper money management and risk control. Any trading system is just a key for a door, you need to decide what happens when you walk through that door. Until you master or get a grip on that process a trading system is about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike.

Ld has some valid points but a lot of this just highlights the paralysis we find ourselves in should we only trade on relative certainty. My basic EAs (for example) have produced a 20% profit in 30 weeks after 1000s of trades but it would be naive to blindly assume this could continue forever, such doubts could equally prevent us from cashing in if this were to carry on. The other side of this coin is that even if we were able to produce a trading strategy that passed Ld’s strict examination processes, and there were no historical\backtesting data able to disprove the theory, what’s not to say some bizarre economical situation may arise that beheads our cash cow going forward.

Simple risk and return, accept it, trade, win or lose or put your money in the bank and watch inflation dissolve it. Just my thoughts.
Sounds like a lot of screen time to me.

he onus is on you to integrate, not on us.

we have reached out to you for years, and you simply show no willingness to integrate, no respect,

only negative reactions like an immature child who always demands more and never gets enough.

My mindset is fine.

A simple definition of a system is that it is 'a complex whole; a set of things working together.

If you read through my posts about the dividend trade, you will find that i asked for help of what could be missing to make this work for me to reach x specific goal that i have.

So basically i am looking for a person that is able to tell/help me how to reach a certain goal but all i find is the blind trying to lead the blind hehe.

Correct! Btw, I just noticed that your EAs were made with a builder. At first I thought it was from some commercial EA vendor. My requests for changes to it have therefore been resolved. I'll let it continue to run as an experiment and I'm excited to see what happens in the long term. However, it seems to be rather unsuitable for productive use in a prop trading environment with strict requirements (which you didn't claim). So everything is good.

OK whatever. I have respect for everyone here, especially people who can back up their claims about positive expected trading results with actual evidence. I never claimed to want to integrate myself somewhere, but yes, I understand that this is a community for chatting and not for learning trading and certainly not how to learn to make a living from it.

Where am I "negative" or have no "respect"? What nonsense. I've been trying to ask for solutions to my problems here since the beginning, thats all. If you don't have any solutions it's okay.

Honestly mate, people here have tried to help you. NOBODY is going to give you a purely mechanical money printer system. Build you OWN SYSTEM with concepts that you have tested and decided BY YOURSELF if they have any merit and figure out what your average returns are and then figure out the capital you need to pony up to live off it. Its simple

If hedgeing/averaging doesn't suit your style why are you here?
Have you traded this way as youve predicted a lot of screen time, my advice is don't assume things you haven't tried, I my self trade whist at work from my phone very little screen time but you can only take my word for it, as said at the start of the thread try it yourself..., constant 2% a month with little downdraw, the word constant and market don't go togethet the market is always changing, why backtest "the past does not equal the future" "the past does not equal the future" I've said this twice as it's important.......but all in all I think that this thread is not for you, you need to find one of the many YouTube gurus that will promise you a set and forget system that deliver constant profits ...good luck with that ...

No one who currently holds a FR40 trade is allowed to leave the thread until their positions are closed at BE or better, I've invested in too many French products in an effort to help. Do you think I like walking around all day in these French knickers and beret?
