Bulls moved above 1.0674 as many have noticed already, if they aren't strong price should revisit the lows and then 1.0643, but if they are stronger than the bear then 1.0717 could be their next stop - monthly pivot.

Until now the price is respecting 1.0690 level which is at Break out, fib and pivot levels. If this level holds then a big downward movement can come.

Now pa has touched another d1 resistance

for me, the price holds at 1.06920. we have resistance and 50% fib level holding strong here. 1.06490 might be retested

Ok, I'll give this a go. Especially as it pertains to the EUR/USD more than any other currency pair. In a word "Do Not" trade on the news. Partly because to "truly" trade on it you, as an individual, cannot. It takes a lot of computing power to crunch algorithms in real time, a hyper fast internet connection that is also physically close to an internet data hub. Nonetheless, traders get the news and try. This is, in particular, a bad idea with the EUR/USD. Why?...Because the Euro and dollar combined make up more daily (and therefore monthly/yearly) volume than all the rest of world currencies combined (180 total, I think). That makes the news more important then, right? No, Precisely the opposite, but, only in the short term (Hourly/daily). { For example, because of the volume and stability of this pair market makers can send the pair in the counterintuitive direction to a near absurd degree and then reverse to the same degree in the intuitive direction and then reverse again to end back at the start to wipe out both shorts and longs. Then slowly over hours or days make it head in the proper direction with little jitters and jumps and then in between Asian and European markets/over the weekend/ or after 5pm US close before Asian open (just to name a few) do an absurd jump for seemingly no reason. It is though, its correcting for wiping out the shorts and longs to head back into the current Medium (1-3Mo) and Long term (>3Mo) direction. } "Important" news cannot be disregarded with other currency pairs in this manner, to this degree. Correction would be much more difficult, they lack the volume to hide head fakes. Now, as for using the news to trade on this pair it can be done with a focus on the long term view but 1. Use rational stop losses to protect yourself and 2. Strongly consider using the plethora of charting/ pivot /trend /etc. advice given on this thread especially from Ata-Turkoglu (Look, I don't know the guy at all. My reasoning is a common sense one. He started this thread with a clear headed rule set, has been posting most every day for who knows how long, has the respect of many other large volume posters and you are reading this post on page 4900-01 numbers don't lie. It wouldn't have lasted this long if the moderator was a tool). That being said I only passingly consider all these charts. As for the news... mid-long term the headline is "USD Strengthens" b/c the news over the last several weeks and months (many different indicators and reports from all parts of the US total economic picture) has indicated that the fed will not raise interest rates as many times as was believed 3-6months ago. That fact is fluid and can change but for right now, yes. Non-farm may be the most unpredictable every month (but not really) I've been trading since 2001 and I've come to believe its just a once a month excuse for a shit show... or sometimes not, nada happens.
