Update:

Waited till 10:30AM Est before making my move on NQ took sell's in both Myfundedfutures (standard contracts) and Apex (micros). Did good on both.

Now, will see if anything makes sense in Asian session after 10:00PM.

ok started the TopStep thing 50K
today had to setup the whole TradingView thing

Now trading directly from trading view both from desk and from Ipad.
Had to use the practice account to try and understand how the trade execution works, TP, SL etc....

In summary:
- trading directly from TradingView feels very good ATM.
- order execution is extremely correct on both sides no slippages but today I used the practice account, don't know if the combine account will be different (hope not)
- trading on Futures feels very good actually! 1 contract in OIL and 1 contract in eminiDOW looks pretty enough for what I need.
- will not trading the 6B nor any other currency. Will focus on what is available into 1 pricefeed subscription (to be paid later in the live funded account)

At this point, I guess I found a good edge in terms of platform, charting, and tools.
Tried the FTMO (failed at 2nd phase because of a outrageuos entry 20lots long in OIL in wrong timing wiping me out LOL in just half a $) but had too many problems trading with the shitty MT platform (sorry for the MT lovers but I just don't like it. I never in the past and will probably never in the future).

My 1min strategy is perfectly fit with OIL and also works good in DOW.

So, wish me luck

US PROP FIRM RESTRICTIONS - moving out of US?

Hi everyone. With the US restrictions shutting down prop firms left and right, and MT5\MT4 getting replaced with miserable alternatives for us like Matchtrader and TradeLocker, I am seriously considering moving outside the US to be able to trade Prop Firms with peace and freedom. I am not interested in spending years building a small account with my own personal money or trying to gamble to grow fast when I could alternatively make 10x more from the same efforts by using firms.

With that being said, has anyone else considered leaving the US to trade? What are your findings so far? Is anyone familiar with how that process would go? Getting a house or apartment in another country? Is there a way to gain residency remotely? I also wonder if there are ways to gain access without actually having to move…
I’m hoping there is someone who has resolutions to share. Any info you have will be appreciated.

tradovate i feel is more easier for later on when you want to copy trades between account.

Was up 700$ for the day then longs got smoked. Lost half of the drawdown. Changed bias and went to downside and recovered the losses. Breakeven day. I am happy with myself usually i wont change my bias this is first time and paid well. Improving

-To trade with props? Absolutely not. Just trade with futures props if you are worried. There is currently not enough certainty surrounding remote props to warrant a move like that. Just my opinion.

dno what other people feel with 5ers but i am getting a fair bit of slippage. Thats not a complaint just an observation.

Their offering is garbage as compared to the other top firms. Less drawdown with expensive pricing. I dont like the 0$ activation fee firms as it is same as forex prop firms, pay the whole fees upfront even though you can fail.

you need to get both directions long and short.
i also have a better feeling of buy side, i guess is about how one perceive price movements.
but I forced my self to catch both directions.
and I lately found I like the sell side: it goes faster, stronger, cleaner than the move up which requires a “build up” in price structure.

I find it much easier when into the 1m charts. Hit and go. So no matter where price is going: signal down, I sell, signal up, I buy.
took me about … hmm… a lot of time. maybe since the beginning of my trading experience I had to challenge with this.

The dumbest thing I do is the most noobish thing in the trading environment:
when price is in the upper half of the chart, I am ready to look for sell entries.
opposite when on the lower half.

of course, doesn’t work that easy, but helps

We need more companies like Apex.... i hope FTMO goes in to Futures and allow 20 or 30 accounts LOL
