This is a bit off the topic but it might be helpful to people using MT4 and MT5 on the same computer. Sometime ago I started to have failed MQL5 community authorizations on my MT4 terminals preventing me to use my MT4 EA's which I had obtained from MQ. It took me a while to figure out what was going on. It turned out that MQ has configured MT5 to write to your computer hosts file certain lines which prevent your MT4 terminals from accessing the MQL5 community.
They are probably doing this on purpose to make people to move from MT4 to MT5. I find it very questionable for a software company to go and change my hosts file without permission. Another question which arises is that what else this Russian owned criminal organization is inserting on your computer.
In order to get your MT4 to connect normally again, you need to remove all the lines from the hosts file with MQL in them.
