Its ironic, it has happen to me many times in the past, using trailing stop or bringing fast your SL to zero is the best way to prevent this from happening.

Ambiguous NFP print but downside revisions were huge as anticipated. Still long here and holding 50% of my long position from 1.0875. buyer on dips towards the grind to 1.1050-1.1100.

They have wanted 1.10 for a while now. The HS on the daily showed it. Now they almost have it. Bulls keep moving very fast like thieves. It's as though they are in a hurry before they are caught. Lovely end of week with exciting pa... Pockets filled...

Before I go, quickly checking weekly situation and my verdict is: Bulls reaching and ramming the parallel trendline! (The main reason why I was confident not to expect significant highs. Resistance areas coming from weekly must be taken serious!)

Next week: choppy choppy choppy and waiting period to finalize this quick rise before we go down again.

Calling it a day and week folks...

we can only speculate...
1. maybe because the pair has gone up for some time now, those who bought it up are taking profit after confirming that their expectation on the NFP is on point; or
2. those who bought the pair up were actually playing on the expectation of people like you, making the expectation that if the NFP is good, you would intend to buy the pair up further, so they are selling it instead to take profit at your expense.

It was a nuanced release. While the actual print was higher than expected, they revised the previous print down significantly. This also brought back into question as to whether new jobs are now trending down or up. Unemployment was also 0.2% higher than anticipated. Overall a mixed bag without any major surprises. Price action was relatively mild as there was no major narrative shift. Market still holds the belief that we are in the soft landing meta where rates will be gradually normalized so long as inflation doesnt continue to surprise upwards. This is a good scenario as it means a relative mild economic slowdown with rates coming down. However, as jobs remain somewhat hot, the expectation is wages may continue to pressure inflation upwards. To be tested next Thursday on US CPI.
