if this trendline (red) is broken the next target is a blue line.

I took the UJ short a couple of days ago off the break of the daily pinbar and am up 86 pips at the moment :-) I have a nice horizontal line at 122.11 where price was tested several times, and while it may go to your blue line, I would expect it to at least stall a bit at this price first. Thoughts?

Hi tamkras

I’d like your idea and it is possible 124.00/10 area to become IT. For me the picture is the same except that there I see one more support - with 89SMA on 4H. That way I expect to have one time bounce with next IT 123.10/30 and then a serious test of that area @122.65/85. When it will be broken the next stop will be 200EMA ~122.00/15 depend the time (now @122.93) before strong 120.80. I am new to 4H Phillip trading method, but for me that is more possible scenario.

Ignored
Nice observation about the IT....It also corresponds to a former IT L on the weekly charts...interesting... & Tam's area is now the 200 on the 4 hour chart.....

Also, to the newer people, this is part of the 4 hour strategy. We look at price levels, break in s&r, market rhythm (MA's) and basic candle patterns...and to the question re: 89, it is the SMA...when you hear ref. to EMA it is usually the 21, sometimes the 8.

Followed system tonight for the yen pairs (which had beautiful rhythm tonight as did cable falter at resistance....tonight's profit was almost 200 pips (Cable and G/J on 1 lot basis)...This is the last post for accounting profitable trades...so, don't let anyone tell you this system doesn't produce pips consistently in the range of 300....(I have only lost pips when I know more than the market tells me ). Which goes back to what Phillip has said from day 1....wait for the good set-ups!

Hope everyone did some major dancing tonight! See you in the morning.

Pips

AKA...the eternally grateful follower of Phillip's system....

Nicely done Josh,

Was wondering where you have been....I expect price to stall around 122.11 (Top Highs); if it breaks below, it may continue falling to the 200 (Tam's cave bottom pattern aka inside bottom high....either way, look for what price does in that region and how MACD is behaving....there def. has been some jitters in the financial markets this week (will we see a bounce tomorrow as has been the case for the last 6 weeks? or will the Fed play havoc w/the party...hmmm...what about Tony Blair....Yikes....I'm just gonna watch price and MACD and MA's...Much easier, and much more reliable...don't forget to protect some profit.

Great job!!!! Your on your way to 2012!!!

Pips

Phillip,

Just a quick question, In your write up, you suggest using the 89 SMA, but looking at other users charts in these posts and you mentioning the bounce off of a 89 EMA on the USDJPY in last evenings Daily wrapup audio, it seems that the suggested 89 moving average should be exponential, has this been changed or am I missing something?

Thanks!!

Yes, it is 4HR strategy. I post my thoughts here with Phil's blessing. I believe my thoughts were proved multiple times as working in conjunction with MACD strategy. Let's have a look at the euro daily and check the MACD signal yesterday. What side of the market should we be with? Good luck.

thanks, Fxhermit. Yes, it is ok to collect all my posts on Phil's thread - you can not find them anywhere else.

I also thank Ira for her recent question on inside pattern on the usd/jpy monthly. This was almost a 200-pip question by now. By the way, this is the value of not listening to the crowd of "shrewd" analysts (125!, 128!!, 133!!!, higher!!!!). Be smarter and more creative. Good luck.

I agree...but we are global community...not everyone speaks english...that's why we see these requests sometimes...thats where we come it ...Help Phillip spread the word via printed posts...

hey, who did the nice transcript of the market rhythm? Maybe you could post a reference to the link for the newer members?

Also, to those new to the system, please read the whole thread and backtest the system to see how well it works and to understand the nuances! Its amazing when you get it!

Happy Pipping,
Pips

Looks like my math worked out and in time for some shrewd traders. Hope it was useful. Has anyone seen Alcastro? I need to return him crystall ball and I wish him and all of you good trading. Good luck.

Hi Tam,

I am still around here....working my way around the daily system since it fits my schedule, and my psychology (I'd rather not watch the computer when the trades are developing....otherwise I tend to make foolish decisions and try to double-guess my set-ups!!!).

Don't worry about the crystal ball....you can keep it. But I really don't think you need it. All you need is your excellent analysis, your stacking dolls, and your amazing trading style.

Hi Ira,

Thanks for the positive, happy message!! Alberto and the phrase P.E.M!! Speaking of Alberto.....He's turned into quite the P.E.M ....Keep up the great work!!!!

Can't wait to have Alcastro and Ira manage my account b/c they easily capture pips into their butterfly net (that's my favorite image...happily capturing pips on a beautiful spring day)...K...I'm strange....

Happy Trading,
Pips

Sorry. Must have been a mouth error. Not on the keybord but Mp3. I am using 89SMA. 89EMA will give more weight to resent moves while SMA is a plain average over the period chosen.

Phillip,

I notice in the plan that you set levels of .0015, .0030, and .0045 and their negative counterparts to help you determine overbought/oversold EURUSD levels.

From looking at some of your charts it apears that you have .0017, .0032, .0051, -.0022, -.0043, and -.0062 set for your GBPUSD trades.

Are these "fixed" levels?

Also, I saw in another of your posts that you don't trade the USDJPY with this system yet, as you have not done enough backtesting. Is this still the case?

And also, what are your overbought/oversold levels for the USDJPY pair?

Thanks for everything. I only recently came across this system and have had a blast learning it. Exciting stuff.
