Hello.

I received the below email from FTMO. Yes - my vps is in a USA server and I use VPN at home. My country is in Europe-middle east.

I asked forexvps.com to change my country location. And I will be careful with home vpn.

But they do not tolerate one time negligence as it appears in the email. I have fear that I can make occational mistakes over time with pressing a wrong button. I hope they do not ban me. One single mistake will destroy months of efforts in challenge and thousand of Euros.

What do you advise me? Will they be tolerant to me?

I hope you are doing well.

We detected that your currently active MetaTrader account has recently recorded login activity from the United States. Please note that MetaTrader accounts are not allowed to be traded in the US. You likely use VPN or VPS to have your geolocation set as the US. Please change the geolocation so that you do not log into or trade your MT account from the United States. If we detect the log-in activity from the US again, we'll have to take the necessary measures to mitigate risks associated with a breach of this directive.

many create their own charts inside their own frontend.

in general you can do anything without any limitation.

at least stability is not your problem. results are very constant.

much cheaper to learn trading first step by step, then try in demo, then try paying for a demo prop.
greed let you start to fast because you want to win fast. market will be there tomorrow too.

Hi JustPipMe,

I am testing it now & it leaves a lot to be desired. For me anyway. There has got to be a better choice these prop firms could use. Maybe you will like it. Just my view.

I created my own charts many years ago. About year 2000. I programmed visual charts and buy and sell signals according to the few strategies I was able to program ( was working full hours). Signals were grabbed at the Internet with 20 minutes delay. But compeding with todays charting machines like MT4 - you cannot. However if Metatrader has the ability to communicate using FIX signals that I create, that is exiting.
MetaTrader 4 - so many advantages.

One option for charting is just to use TV for your charts and whatever crappy backend platform they offer you. It should work out similar but has an extra step.

The server outages, slow execution and weird slippage cant be fixed though.

I will continue to chart on MT4. I have never charted on MT5 anyway. I just need the platform to push buy or sell.

Well, lets start where he openly stated he was buying an ASIC licensed broker. If he is willing to lie about that, what else is he lying about? Its a pretty severe lie.

I know its frowned upon to say this but CQG is my all time favorite platform. Ever since ninjatrader appeared it gets a bad wrap but I still think the OG CQG is great.

if you force yourself to “lose” a challenge by:
1. Letting profits run (against your primal instinct)
2. cut losses super early (against primal instinct)
