EA Turnaround Tuesday D1 Dax

Hallo together,

I need you to challange my code, which is done by the support of ChatGPT. On Backtesting the EA works, but can I use it on a real account?

The strategy is very simple and is proofed over a long term base, descriptions can be found on several internet pages, e.g (This is no advertising for WHS!!):

I tested the EA, and it is profitable, but I didn't open many positions.

In one year of testing, it made +10% with 6% DD but opened only 19 orders, so around one order every three weeks, not very much. I did run the same test using 5 lots instead of the default 1 lot, and it made +58% profit, a lot better, but with an increased DD of 18%.

I also did a five-year test, and it made +37% with 13% DD and 102 orders, for an average of 1 order every 2.5 weeks. Using 5 lots instead of the default 1 lot, it made +186% profit with a much higher 33% DD.

It's not a frequent trader, but when it does, it is profitable. The challenge would be to make it trade more frequently or increase the risk to make more profit. I was thinking it would be good to let it have an auto lot type input based on risk percentage, but as the strategy does not use a SL, it is not possible.

If you don't mind having an increased DD or you have a higher risk tolerance, I'd run it with higher lots to make any decent profits.

I did experiment with EA for a few pairs and modified a couple of things if that works.
Trial #1 - Buy and Sell - current EA only buys if price > MA. this trial, it will sell if price < MA.
Trial #2 - dynamic lotsizing - based on balance. if balance increase, lotsize increase. 1 lot per 10K
Trial #3 - combined #1 and #2

Since basic logic is to buy on Tuesday and Sell on Wednesday, not much of things can be done to increase how it can increase orders.

* Potentially add trailing stop - if profit, add stops and move.
* Potentially add more lots when it is in profit
* Move SL to BE

it seems Buy/Sell isn't working any better. ( 1.1 )
Dynamic Sizing is better but also increase DD. ( 1.2)

Test shows JPY pair did best.
I attached modified versions - simple changes.

One correction regarding to:
Trial #1 - Buy and Sell - current EA only buys if price > MA. this trial, it will sell if price < MA.

The current EA opens only on monday a buy DAX position, in case the current price < 34 MA, on D1 Chart and at 17:45 (Berlin).

Question: Is it possible to add the Days for open and close the Position as a Input variable, so I can test to open e.g the Position on tuesday morning etc.

Try this one. I have added EntryDay and ExitDay.

quick test on EURJPY shows best performance ( 122% gain on 2023 ) on Thursday entry and Wednesday exit.
I might have to test on different MA period which is best.

Question regarding my code v1.0: Is the red marked code ok?
The condition should be, if the current price of the Dax Index at 17:45 on Monday is < MA, than open a buy position.
Currently I understand the code in the way, that it looks to the D1 candle close from the previous day, which is not the strategy.
What do you mean? Can you correct the code? Or is the code right?

You code is checking yesterday's value and yesrterday's close price.
Basically, you are saying if yester's close was lower than MA, and we are going to buy today.
if you are buying on Monday, that would be based on "Friday's candle"

However, if you want

index should be 0 - which is latest bar.
