Exactly ABA27, I´m in the same point figuring out how can enter earlier to get more of the movement and also how to not be scared and stay when a trend seems to be longuer.

I for one don't think I can offer any suggestions without posting a chart showing your trade executions.

Are you expecting every trade to go directly into profit and stay there? Are you exiting without getting some sort of reversal signal that suggests you should get out?

I have very few trades on the ES that don't go a few ticks negative. I have ES ticks that go +10 ticks then come back to - 4 ticks before going to +25 ticks.

I have NQ ticks go -30 against me before going +60 for me.

I need to see a chart with actual trade executions to see what it is you are doing.

A very rare day as this is an almost perfect day: A few small winners before hitting one for my full take profit target, and the most I was ever in drawdown was less than $10.00 This is what I'm sure we'd all like to experience every day. But this is rare. Very rare, imo.

You have got to let your stop losses do what they are there to do. Drawdown is part of the game. If there was a 100% win $0 drawdown system then someone somewhere would have already taken all of our money lol.

Also, ABA, you seem uncertain about price vs Hthe Heiken-Ashi. I have seen some traders here from time to time run BOTH ohlc bars AND Heiken-Ashi candles so they can better see the relationship between actual price and the average bar price, which is what Heiken Ashi calculates. Heiken Ashi is itslef and indicator. It is not an actual price bar. See the chart below as an example of 1 minute HA and 1 minute OHLC bars plotted together.

Here are my real trades(Dow Jones Futures 1 Hour TF.). I do not draw circles and arrows on the charts in the hindsight.

First trade is a winner - I used MA Channel Technique

Second trade is a loser - different Technique.

My point for today: do not get stuck with one technique.

RP, nice trades for a no-strong-trend PA day so far. Are your entries somewhat based on the MACD Histogram crossing the Zero-line? And the exits based on Heikin-Ashi being a doji inside-bar after price has moved a certain distance from entry point and now nearing prior support/resistance levels? And what else? Some more good info I can learn from you. Thank you.

A close above/below ema tunnel with MACD cross, but also on PA. I've passed on signals where after candle closed above/below tunnel next forming candle showed immediate weakness. was Exits mainly based on expectation that there will be no big trades because PA is weak.

I will next time add an example. I looked back at my trades to find an example and saw a lot of dumb ones, so maybe it's my reaction time. I will figure it out. Could you please advise if I could also have entered at the previous break of the swing before my entry, so at the close of 2 candles earlier?
