No one knows where our indicators are but us, but everyone sees the levels of support and resistance, major and minor.

I replied to your request yesterday and linked the the very post where the renko method first was stated.

FWIW, I'm not sure this method is for you. It requires effort and work.

I think rocky would be the first to tell you that there is a good bit of discretion that is involved that comes as a matter of experience.

If support and resistance strike you as "subjective" then we'll have to leave it at that.

driven18 and Svetul4o seem to look to do nothing but be disagreeable and contribute nothing positive.

You are the same with the addition that you treat CFD's as though volume data is objective, which it is not, and to sell us on using your volume bubble indicator.

The three of you really drag the ethos of this thread down.

Dude, if me having a different point of view is interpreted as me not liking you or being disagreeable, than rest in the knowledge that I won't bother you any more. I leave you to drown in positivity and confirmation bias without actually having a real debate and learning something new. People nowadays seem to be highly allergic to critique and different minded people, although I never really critiqued you personally in any way.

I agreed with you, Vid
This method seems very easy, but in reality not everyone can do it. It does require focus , effort, and a fast reaction on price action.
I think 5 renko is a fast TF for me, I need more time to check rules and to open trade,
What higher time frame would you recommend I try for this method?

vidvad, I never took you for an idiot, in fact I mentioned the word "appreciate" in the earlier reply to you. I merely suggested to be more "accurate" with that particular entry, so, do not be an idiot.

Its up to you to experiment and see what works best for you, and depending on volume it can change. I switch between 4 and 5, Vidvad I believe uses 5.
You could try 6. Or 7 or 8(these would slow things down too much IMO.). But only you know what you feel comfortable using, plus as you proceed you find yourself able to make decisions more quickly.

Hi Rocky,
I think, S\slower TF will give me more time for observation on how price is moving and more time to make a decision.
And I think you're right, after trading on slower TF I can adopt the strategy and can move to a higher TF.
YA..... my learning curve is not so good I need slow down before I speed up.... Feels time when I first started to learn how to drive car, gosh!!!, .... I remember it was a disaster, specially learn how to drive on highway, to get my drivers license!...

You mentioned Renko - so I thought I would look at and play with a Renko chart on my new Ninja Futures platform.
Problem is they look good and may be useful for drawing levels to suit trade entries?
I was using one minute charts but Renko does seem to "smoothe" out price gyration.

Rockies set up: is this a Ninja download ?

You may find that you also may not need MACD. MACD is a great indicator but it is lagging PA. Try to experiment with momentum "breakout" indicators. Strength of breakout momentum out of Channel is what I found to be the most important.

My first foray into Futures and it seems a slightly different world, especially tight spreads?
Renko great when trending but have to work out how to avoid whip -( see the above "M" shape areas.)
Do you guys prefer Renko to ordinary price action bars?

rocky's set up uses renko, but then we add a Heiken-Ashi indicator to the renko bars. You can download the indi here and add it to ninjatrader:

It took me some time to get used to the renko/Heiken-Ashi ... highs aren't the highs, and lows aren't the lows ... the open isn't the open, and the close isn't the close lol. The more you watch them, the more you develop your feel for them and come to understand how they behave. You'll see patterns develop etc.

You do not need Renko, try 1 Min - 5 Min HA Candle charts for scalping. Many MT4/MT5 users are not able to use proper(like Ninja Trader) renko bars.

Whatever Renko inids posted in this forum do not work properly, because of limitation of MT4/MT5 tick transmission.
