Why do you lose money in trading?

What online resources are required to be tracked for research?

And in short - What do you actually do in forex research (back-testing or fundamental research)? And how to do it?

Excellent post and excellent observation. I also see that not a single one of the replies addresses the arguments made. Instead all replies talk about "do more research", "control your emotions", "don't be greedy" etc. As if that would affect any of the observations made. The central statement was "Why does this happen? Do you think the observed events are coincidences?"

Don't get me wrong and this is nothing personal to my fore-posters. There is a total lack of imagination as to what we could possibly be dealing with in the markets. Well, then it's no wonder that 95% and even more lose.

I am losing money in trading exactly because of the same set of reasons as other traders have.
Wrong psychological setups, embellished and excessive expectations, like pink-tinted glasses, you know, inability to learn on mistakes and many many other reasons which are more individual. These are only general ones. And I guess everybody can relate.
The main goal of trading is to learn on mistakes, as I think. Once you make a mistake and lose the position, then punish yourself with one hour of demo trading and detailed breakdown of your actions that moment.

It takes time, but after years, the scar tissue builds up, and then the beatings don't hurt so much. Now, I can cut the rope and almost feel happy about it.

1. Psychology
2. Psychology
3. & I almost forgot to mention Psychology

There’s plenty of profitable strategies and EAs online. There’s even signals you can purchase from a profitable entity; however, users still fail because of greed, fear and an inability to control their emotions. The market psyche starts with you then you’ll start understanding the bigger picture.

The underlying question here is How to overcome losing money?

1. Learn your psyche and trading profile. What can you handle? What do you do well in trading?
2. Learn risk management. It goes beyond “only risk 1-2% of account.
3. Learn the fundamentals (news, global economy, interest rates, etc). Just learn the basics. This will help with the bigger picture of psychology.
4. Learn the technicals (chart analysis, indicators). Less is more. Don’t overcomplicate things instead learn where that psychology is most likely going to be.

Experience, the son of difficult mistakes
A smart person learns from other people's mistakes, but a fool learns from his own...

COZ ur a shitlazy gambler who puts in little time for analysis and has No Directional Bias

There are multiple reasons behind it, but what i usually think is due to lack of knowledge, risk management. If I talk about my experience I lose by being impatient and trying to make quick money.

Because of wrong MM.
You can still be profitable with almost any strategy if you adjust your MM.

There is absolutely no way on Earth that 90-95% of Intelligent human beings are wrong with their decisions consistently, so something else has to be up with the markets for most people to lose

Over a 100 years ago WD Gann Said about a big speculator of the day "He has traded in complete harmony with natural law...."

What Gann meant was that the trader had traded in sync with the planet(s) that moved the stocks price action

This is why you lose - you and the vast majority of people do NOT work in sync with the planetary aspects and movements that are happening - be in no doubt, the planets move prices and each market has a differing personality from others

To complicate matters further, multiple planets are all doing multiple things on a stock which makes it pretty tricky to work out what is what, but every now and then............

Apart from the 2009 low - what do you see? I see a plunge followed by a rally followed by another plunge etc - tradable? Certainty has been once you know the date



If you knew this planetary cycle then you could watch price around it at some pretty key times - again as this does not account for all turns, it proves some other things are also happening alongside



You're up against the planets and what they are doing to the financial markets, that's why you're losing or 90-95% of you are losing - you're trying to TIME trades against an Invisible force that moves prices, sometimes you get it right, most of the time you don't

That is your main issue, the other issues are bad risk/trade management and so on

You can turn it around - I am living proof of that fact, as most people are NOT in sync with the forces moving prices and never will be consistently

There's also war cycles too and we are right in the midst of a big one, expect USA boots on the GROUND at some point up to 2028 - again those cycles are controlled by planets and planetary action around their cycles around the sun

I was looking to draw the planetary lines on the chart for the day and time .. can you please elaborate the steps further to guide ?
Do you use any indicator to draw this lines on a chart ?
I have seen your earlier post on Nov 14, 2023 with the planet details & the astrological software ?

Some reasons include not planning carefully or letting emotions guide our decisions. Also, the market's unpredictability can surprise us, so we need to stay sharp and adapt to changes.

Hi John - I don't spend all my time looking at boards, so missed this reply - you need to quote the post and then it alerts the user someone's replied to a post etc

You need to work out the longitude that the planets create, that will work out at x points per day/trading bar and then you plot it - you could buy software that does this for you, but I do it the old fashioned way - I can change the value of Gann angles in that software package so I draw the 1 x 1 Gann angle with the planetary ticks/points per day/trading bar and the software then works out the other Gann angles

Note - OTHER planets are in play all the time which is why not every high/low is hit by that planetary combo

Its also not quite as simple as I've made out either, but traders should get the gist of what I'm showing them
