It's clear as day that 1.0710 will happen.

NFP came strong, eurusd dropped hard from 1.0900 and reached near the lows at 1.0780.

The strong release has significantly impacted the EU pair, leading to a bearish shift in the market sentiment and a potential continuation of the downward trend. Also reinforced the Federal Reserve's hawkish stance on interest rates. Geopolitics should help this trend, but its better to trade from Monday again when we'll have more info.

Price breaks 50 weekly ma and targets 1.0724,100 weekly ma and 1.0570 - S1 yearly support

Quick DAILY Outlook for Monday and Beyond

  1. We had a very interesting week. Congrats to all who could profit even during a roller-coaster ride like this one.
  2. With current picture, my main course stays the same: Keeping my patience until price arrives at or gets very close to AB=CD completion point: ~1.0728 area.
  3. After that, I have 2 scenarios:

    1. 1) We continue with the previous, real trend: which was bullish, as Cup & Handle fully plays out! or,
    2. 2) We break below 1.0728 and dive much deeper.

Here’s my key market update for the upcoming week!

Last week, the EUR/USD closed down and below 1.0800 after reaching 1.0900 earlier on positive sentiment. However, the unexpected hit from the NFP report brought the bulls plans crashing down, resulting in a significant dip.

Now, the pair is sitting at support around 1.0880, which is the swing low from the previous days decline. It’s in a wait and see mode, anticipating more information to decide its next move on Monday.

Resistance levels to watch out for are 1.0900 and 1.0932, while support levels are at 1.0765 and 1.0724. Keep an eye on the daily trendline (see attached chart with blue) as it could offer a potential bounce within the range first.

Overall, the EUR/USD is in a bearish trend within a large range. Expect some action with the upcoming release of the US Trade Balance and US Initial Jobless Claims. The weekly volatility - range should be 96 pips.

The Friday NFP was really bad for the traders in mid term. This data hindered the beginning of a new, clear trend. Without a clear trend is really hard to make money.

After one day before NFP, I can say of course that the reaction was extremely impulsive but the data is not tragical for EUR. The NFB is in a down trend also with this high number. And this was not an extremely high number, the problem was with the expectation. In the upcoming 2-3 months we need lower numbers for rate cut in June.
