I dont have a horse in the race. 2030/31 area to me. Could have some R. The anticipation was it may retrace before the news Friday. But do your own analysis. Gold

It will not be a problem for me. The Dallas area has 72 hours of sub freezing. They have had blackouts a few years back. I'm in South La. I should be ok.. We all will be in bad shape if it was an ice storm. If its an ice storm trees and utility lines will put many in the dark with no heat. No electric menas no sewer in some places. A few years back the N gas valves froze. Texas suscked not having freeze protection of their instructure

The same with the case Cad 3389 reverse of gold. The cluster of 200 ema is North of price. So it leans bearish. The eu has those 200s South, so it leans bullish in this way.
I have another reason -1041 for the bear outlook. One of these reason is wrong.

Now just waiting on news. Tech wise the year closed below 1041. I think it was a miss for bulls

These cold snaps may hurt the inflation drop some. It may be enough to dim cuts enough to get past those 200s. Plus employment and wage gains may be good for the usd. A slight increase in consumer outlook can help the usd. PPI tomorrow..

What's going on in the red sea is inflationary. Shipping insurance has to increase. Oil, etc. is shipped. A few ticks favors of increase cost. Could help inflation. Anything helping inflation adds to less rate cuts, or pushes them further in the future. https://www.cnn.com/2024/01/11/polit...men/index.html

Those 200s and 0741 are tough to get through. If it manages to get there. Those should become R. No sure thing here. I think those will need to be attacked. Those oil producing countries dont mind these events. They like when the price of oil is higher. Whoever finds a way to eliminate oil demand. Won't have to spend as much treasure protecting oil. That treasure can be used to find a better way. Without oil money, its harder for Iran, or whoever to fund these groups. Multiple problems would be solved.
The news earlier this week was pro usd. One good news event could take out 0894.. Its a slug fest to close -0741. The eu like 100 pips. This weeks high is 099x. 1 average week is 160 pip. 1.0837 or 1069 is a average week. Take 0741 and a average month can be 1.0600

The U.S. etc navy keeps piracy less. If not for that. Shipping rates would be much higher. Most people dont have a clue on how much this cost is subsidized. A lot exporters would be out of business. If they had to pay for shipping insurance without U.S.,G.B. etc Navy's.
They should put one those million dollar rockets on the Ayatollah's kitchen table.
I thought they could jam signals. Some smart kid is figuring out. How to take those drones over, to steer them back to the launcher. They may have ability, or a some directional emp. You cant show your hand until a war begins.

Derverting shipping away from the red sea. Adds 10 days to shipping around Africa. With a recovering supply chain. 10X2=20 days, will add cost. That will probably be inflationary.
