DislikedI started trading Forex in Oct 2004 after reading a special Futures magazine edition that was dedicated to the Forex market.Ignored
DislikedYes, you sound surprised?
I am a manager for an electrical wholesaler. Boring stuff but money is ok.
Hopefully in the near future I will be leaving to start a property development company for myself.Ignored
DislikedNot surprised because you take trading seriously as evidenced by your posting here at FF (just pulling your leg about the job!) And you are a very savvy trader! All the best with the new venture, especially if it allows more time for Forex (backtesting only, Daily charts only, no back-sliding to 5 minute charts...... )
Edit: OK......you can use 4 hour charts occasionally!Ignored
DislikedMy father was an executive for UPS and I had a crap load of stock that tripled overnight in price when they finally went public in 1999. A few years later, my trading adventure began (Oct 2002), when I leveraged the stock's value to sell naked puts (stock options). After a few months, I noticed that I was making more money than at my $50k/yr. job, so I quit. Several months later, I tried scalping the e-mini S&P 500 with little success, and continued to dabble in futures for about a year. Then I got interested in FOREX, opened a small account ($1000) with Oanda, and been making a few trades here and there since then.
Still make money from writing stock options, but it's usually around just enough to get by, as rough months in the market, or picking the one stock that crashes becomes a huge problem. I admit that I spend way to much time trying to come up with systems than actually trading, and it's about time that I need to "sh*t or get off the pot."Ignored
