"The NFP date is December 8. 2023. at 8:30 EST. Non-farm Payroll data on December 1. 2023. represents the report for the reference month of November 2023. The previous NFP report was held on November 3. (September reference month) was 150K, while the unemployment rate was 3.9%.
This month, the NFP report will not be on December 1, the first week in December. The Non-Farm Payroll (NFP) report is not always released on the first Friday of each month because it is scheduled to be released on the third Friday after the conclusion of the reference week, typically the week that contains the 12th of the month. This scheduling method ensures the data collection period remains consistent, occasionally resulting in the report being released on a Friday later in the month rather than the first."
